We came to visit from Atlanta, ga. Before leaving panama City, we stop at this beautiful restaurant with great food & great taste. Auténtica comida Mexicana!! The restaurant is beautiful!! from the inside, has a really cute Mexican design chairs and tables. I had the best service & delicious food. Not to mention I'm very picky about my food. I cook all the time. We ordered a couple of dishes since we are a family of 5 to get started, and we ordered 1.) Carne Asada served withRice+Beans+Salad. 2.) Scrambled eggs with ham and it's served with rice & beans, and 3.) Chicken Flautas served with salad & last 4.) 3 tacos also served with Rice and beans (my daughter ordered the 3 tacos 2 chorizo y 1 Asada. To be honest the Asada didn't really taste like Asada but the chorizo was really good. I have been in so many, many restaurants and this is one, is one of the best. It's not the biggest i can tell you that, but everything is homemade, including hand-made tortillas. The carne was thick and well cooked how we like it. Tip-let, your server knows how you like your meat. My chicken flautas were crispy and juicy from the inside 😋 👌 just perfection. Will be back next year. Please 🙏 is this helpful? Give...
Read moreMy wife and I wanted Mexican and not just ANY Mexican but authentic! We were the only gringas there but the staff was so friendly and helpful. Contrary to other posts, if someone got bad service, they probably deserved it. I ordered a Carnitas Burrito. The green sauce was out of this world but way too spicy for my tongue. The server changed my order to one with only cheese. And dang, if that wasn't THE BEST Burrito, I think I've ever eaten in my life! The wife had a carnita taco and a steak chimichanga. It was so good that she even had seconds on the taco. The staff was the best, and even though we were the only "white" people in there, they made sure we felt at home. That should tell you how good this place was. They have a simple menu, so it won't be hard to pick out what you want to eat! We will DEFINITELY...
Read moreThis place is located in a small strip center with three stores. They clearly cater to the Mexican community. La Michoacana is a very small place, crowded and the AC apparently has a hard time keeping up.
The ten or so tables were occupied so the three of us sat a a bar by the door. The menu is on the wall and includes dishes such as cows tongue, and cow head tacos and tripe soup.
I got al pastor tacos and the wife got an enchilada plate. The al pastor tacos were excellent and the enchilada dinner was outstanding. The downside is that the place is expensive, crowded and kind of rough. I was surprised how expensive.
The staff was indifferent. Service was slow.
We'll try it again. The food was good if you don't mind basically being ignored until you get...
