Jerkey Mike's
A few days ago I went into this place to order a ham sandwich. When I first walked in, no one said hello. They just continued with their work and ignored their customer. I asked a question about a sandwich and I was told that I had to wait for them to complete their work before they could help me. My question was one that would take 2 seconds to answer and would not interfere with their task so I insisted and finally they answered my question. I told the young girl, and I stress young, that I wanted my sandwich to have light oil and vinegar, but she just poured the vinegar in a normal fashion without regard to my instructions. I let her know that she had put too much vinegar on and then she poured the oil on in the same way without regard to the customer. I reported all of this to the Jersey Mike's customer service, but they have not responded. This is the problem with modern day workers: they are young, scatterbrained, rude, indifferent and not focused on their job. In fact, job security and work ethics are wayyyyyy down on their list of important things in life. I am sure that choosing a new set of emojis for their social media sites is much more important to them. I will not be returning to Jerkey Mike's anymore. Congratulations, you lost a customer. But I did learn one valuable lesson from this experience from now on that I encourage all people to consider. If they don't make it the way you instruct then just walk out and let them deal with disposing of the improperly made food. Or just request that someone more competent make...
Read moreThere was a long line because it was having some promotion, which was for a good cause, so I'm cool with that. I don't mind waiting for a good sandwich.
The real issue was not the service. The service was outstanding. Friendly staff are always a bonus and they were friendly, quick witted, and funny.
The real issue was the quality of the sandwich. I ordered the buffalo wrap. Even as I write this I get queasy thinking about it. It was a big sloppy mess, poorly cut so it fell apart once I did try to eat it. The chicken was under-cooked and tough to chew. The sandwich was lukewarm and I tasted next to no buffalo sauce on it. The lettuce was saturated in blue cheese and because of that was soggy. It appeared as though someone threw this together in about 20 seconds.
There was a gentleman walking around getting feedback and I wish he would have asked for mine because I was severely disappointed. Jersey Mike's might have good subs, but they should take care to assemble their wraps more carefully, make sure the chicken is cut and cooked properly as well as the sub in general.
I will not be going back to Jersey Mike's any time soon. Which Wich has them beat ten times over and their prices are...
Read moreTheir sign says open till 9pm, but in reality they stop serving at 850pm. Last night I was craving a sandwich. Pulled in the lot at 845pm. Told my brother my order, he opened the door at 850pm and was told they were closed. My brother and I were upset, if your closing time is different than what is posted then you need to change your time.
I called this afternoon to complain, I spoke to a lead who said that a manager was not available, but that he worked last night and recalled speaking to my brother. He said they always prep to close prior to 9pm, and although their clock is fast, if it shows 9pm they are not allowed to assist a customer. If they know their clock is fast, why not correct it. Why have your floors mopped , chairs on top of tables and ingredients put up before closing time? Why wasn't the door locked if indeed they were closed? I know, no one wants a last minute customer, but they had a full 10 minutes to complete my order. As a matter of fact 6 additional customers walked into Smoothie King who also closes at 9pm, yet they were served.
This location will no longer get my business, unless they honor their...
