I was parked there to view the planes since the airport lookout is still closed!!! Rolling my eyes (That's another story! Lol) Anyway, didn't notice it there at first. While relaxing and enjoying the view, I felt like having something hot to drink. Went to my Yelp app ofcourse ;) to see what coffee shop was close by other than something in Town square or Sunrise coffee shop. To my surprise, this populated 500 feet away. Looked around and saw this beautiful picture of a large tropical bird by the door entrance. As soon as you walked in, the fresh aroma of coffee beans slaps you on your face! Not to mention the unique decor of rustic themed furniture and the clever usage of the coffee beans bags and coffee packages that were placed on the right side of the cash register, along with option of buying roasted coffee beans too. Because of covid, there's ofcourse no self service, so you have to ask the barista for what you want. They also have fresh pastries from "hunkalove" bakery. I used him years ago. Met him randomly at my job. So I was happy to see his bakery items available. Which by the way, is absolutely delicious!! The barista was very knowledgeable of all of the items available, and most of all she did a great job explaining the different types of coffee. I purchased the Java potion, because the main ingredient caught my eye ( love potion coffee) Who doesn't love "love" and coffee? Perfect and well marketed name for coffee! The Java potion was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Because I love looking at planes, I'll definitely be...
Read moreI truly love this place! The establishment itself is an actual coffee roastery & warehouse/distribution center, with a barista/retail store front attached to the front. This gives it a very industrial feel, but the decor is welcoming and reminiscent of the original CBTL in SoCal, complete with elements of wood, concrete, burlap, and some clever uses of pipe. There are 3 seating areas to choose: 2 small futons, cafe tables & stools on the east side of the venue, and - my favorite - a row of bar baestools and a shelf-like wall-length "table", in front of the front window, where you can watch planes take off from McCarran airport. They have a small but excellent quality coffee & tea drink menu, as well as a "blend of the day", which is always fresh & never burnt. Espresso drinks also available. They sell ground & whole bean coffee pre-bagged and by the pound, between $7.99-$9.99 per lb. They have organic coffee options to choose from, as well as roasts varying from light, medium, and bold. They also carry some Keurig cup options. The service is always friendly and personable, and the baristas are knowledgeable and always serve with a smile. My favorite specialty drink is the Magnum Mocha with whipped cream. The whipped cream is house-made! Prices are fantastic. I pay less than $3 for a 20 oz. roast. Specialty drinks are also very well priced, considering their excellent quality. They are only open weekdays, 6am-5pm, but that's what makes Magnum...
Read moreLet me preface by saying your weekly staff are very nice and super informative and the coffee is amazing, however your Saturday morning staff are rude, the barista rolls her eyes at me for every question I ask and constantly messes up my order. I ask for a regular iced latte, a decaf latte with extra whole milk iced, and an iced mocha coffee, what I receive is a hot latte, a decaf with no milk, and the other was right. I’m not sure if it’s because the two women are constantly talking while making the coffees but I sighed and said this isn’t what I asked for and she rolled her eyes at me, didn’t offer to remake it, so I left. The time before this I asked for a brown sugar coffee with oatmilk iced, and a regular iced latte, what I get is an oat milk latte and the other had regular milk. As you can probably guess the barista acted extremely inconvenienced to have to remake the coffee. It’s such a bummer when your coffee is so great but the barista lacks listening skills and acts as if I’m inconveniencing her just ordering. I don’t get this ever unless it’s a particular girl working on Saturday’s. I dreaded walking in today and was disappointed to see the particular barista and made sure I said my order extremely slowly and separate so it would be accurate, and alas, it still wasn’t. Edit: my husband went in to get our drinks fixed and she sent him out with an iced mocha though he asked for the regular latte to be fixed. I’m...
