John's Famous Bagels and Deli — Restaurant in Park Ridge

I was appalled today at the service and attitude that I received today by the lady who was on the counter taking orders. She was soo rude and I cant believe she said that I don't know English when it is my first language. I reached there asking for vegetable panini ( I repeated myself 4 times as she couldn't hear me) and then she nodded and went. she came back asking me bun or something which I couldn't understand inspite of asking her couple of times and then she just left without explaining what the second option was. because with panini I always had it with flat bread ( last 7 years in WCL) and then after waiting for 7-8 mins I saw two omelets being cooked and I asked her when she is going to start the panini and she said what panini?? She yelled at me saying that I asked for vegetarian omelet. I told her that no I clearly asked for vegetarian panini.. on hearing that she rolled her eyes and said that I don't know how to speak English..( her exact words) and she walked away pulling the flatbread/tortilla and throwing it on counter angrily and speaking over me ... This is the second time I have this experience here where they don't pay attention and then give you attitude.. I went back to my usual Johns bagel which is on 94 Broadway and they could read my face that I was upset.. and got the bagel from them as they didn't have all the ingredients .. the owner was very sweet and he said that he can quickly grab the ingredients from shoprite and make the panini for me..it was the sweetest thing. Infact I first went to them only but since they couldn't today because of running out f ingredients, I thought to give this horrible place (in ridgemont shopping center) a second chance, but they don't deserve the second chance.. that Spanish lady needs tutoring in customer skills as well as listening skills. she almost ruined my morning .. no one wants to see or experience such arrogance in the...

This place frequently gets orders wrong. You have maybe a 50% chance of getting the item you want. Several times they’ve given me a different sandwich than what I ordered.

The last straw was when I asked for a “Crispy Bacon Egg and Cheese” and received what might be the several of the least cooked pieces of bacon I’ve ever been given. Genuinely awful. At this point I’m not even sure if it’s safe to eat.

And the worst part is these issues have been going on for so long, they respond to feedback on their google form, but they don’t actually make any changes. “Your feedback means so much to us” is a bunch of lies. They’ve been bad for a long time, and if you’re reading this they are still probably bad.

While I’m complaining, they have this big art piece in the back that’s also really ugly. That’s not important,...

I came to this restaurant on my way to see a patient and i was the 1st person to come into and the spanish lady took someone else order before mine than took mine and than about to 6 other customers came in and she cooked everyone food they all got there order before me and i was still standing there waiting. I told her after paying for my food not to worry about it and i left and did not want the money back. I can only assume because i’m black and everyone else was white and spanish is why my service went the way it did.
