The Fuzzy's Tacos in Parker is the nearest one to my home. I have been there several times over the last two years. After today's visit, I have unfortunately had enough of them.
Today is Taco Tuesday. I notified the cashier that I would be partaking in this. I ordered 3 corn tacos for the wife and 3 flour ones for me. The ticket came out to $18. I said that something was wrong with that price. The cashier said that the fish ones were not part of the Taco Tuesday promotion (yeah, after the fact). So, I reiterated that I wanted that promotion, so let's switch those ones out.
The cashier was young, and she told me that I had to pay for what was ordered, as she could not change it. Shocked, I told her that I was not going to pay for that, because I didn't want that - I just wanted the promotion. She ended up tripling-down, so I suggested getting the manager. He came over and fixed it.
When I sat down, I looked at the receipt. They charged me $0.96 as a Service Charge. So, I asked the cashier about it. She said she had no idea. So, I asked if the manager could tell me. "Yeah, but he's eating right now; so you'll have to wait for him to get done." So, I walked over and interrupted him. He gave some asinine explanation, so I asked him if I should expect a service charge every time I come to Fuzzy's Tacos. He said, "every restaurant is doing it now."
My food was then ready. My wife got shell tacos. My carnitas were slimy, gooey, undercooked things.
This is similar to my previous experiences at this location, but today's was by far the worst of all.
UPDATE: I became ill from this experience, which ruined my weekend. (I reduced the Stars for this review.) Also, the general manager there has offered me a $50 comp. I am not sure why I'd want to put myself through that again,...
Read moreOk so my daughter and I flew into Denver to visit my sister and brother in law. After they picked us up we decided to get some food. They both suggested Fuzzy's. My daughter and I looked at each other like OK. What a cool place. The manager was exceptional at his job and made us feel so welcome. We decided to get a drink and order our food to go. I forgot to take pics once we got back to their house because we were starving lol. My daughter got a shrimp salad and loved it. My sister got a spicy chicken quesadilla and couldn't finish it all but loved it. Brother in law got a brisket burrito and that burrito looked amazing...I really wanted a bite lol. I got a carnitas burrito with refried beans and Spanish rice. It was ehh. Not enough meat in mine. One blot of guacamole in one spot in the middle. Mostly beans such we're good but I was really looking for the meat. A bit disappointed with my order but I'd definitely try other stuff if I ever get to go back. The drinks me and my sister ordered were delicious 😋 and the atmosphere was fun and...
Read moreThis place was our go to because the price, quality and atmosphere. Within the last year, portions got smaller, prices got higher and now they charge a 3% employee service fee that they blame the CO gov't on, when in actuality, they should have been paying it themselves. Profit over employees I guess. Food quality has gone downhill. Our queso dip was coagulated, tortillas on the tacos were stale and split when you took a bite. There are plenty of local Mexican places in Parker that have better food. You might pay $10 more on your bill, but the food quality will be better and you won't have to wait in a cattle corral to order. This was our go to place, but fifty bucks for 2 margaritas, four street tacos and a kids meal, you can find better Mexican food for close to the same price and get a handmade margarita, not a pre mixed. I guess we have to pay for their Texas bartender over serving someone who killed an officer driving drunk, but then they are going to blame the state government for some B.S. fee...
