Gran Azteca Authentic Mexican Food — Restaurant in Parkersburg

If you're traveling and looking for some good Mexican food, this is the place to be. I happened to come here on Sunday, and it was packed due to the Sunday rush. The fact that the locals were there on Sunday rather than some buffet says a lot to me. TRUST ME! It didn't disappoint. The staff were friendly, the service was responsive, the bathrooms were clean/ fresh, and the food was excellent.

The staff was quick to seat me, and my waiter kept my drink orders full, which is one of my major requirements for great service. Not only that, but he took my order quickly.

During my time here, I needed to use the restroom, and I was quite impressed. It smelled very fresh and clean. I admit, it was an old bathroom that could use some updating, but it was clean and smelled like fresh oranges. I've been in some restrooms that you'd lose your lunch/dinner while you were there, but this isn't one of them.

Earlier, I mentioned the food was excellent. That's true in two ways. Their prices are so reasonable. You're getting a value whatever you get. I paid for a drink, cheese dip, and a burrito and walked out paying $20 for myself. Also, just because the food is cheap doesn't mean it's bad quality. Nothing could be further from the truth. The queso dip was an amazing appetizer, and the burrito was filled with chicken, rice, and beans just as I requested. The rice was a rich, full flavor Mexican rice that blended so well with everything, including the queso sauce that was smothered across the burrito. this store is absolutely horrible! they didnt even try to make my food correctly ordered Tacos (3 Pieces) I the photo in the app you see lettuce and cheese on the taco I recieved corn shells and chicken, no lettuce no cheese!!! this isn't tacos!! the store also dose not list their beans as spicy these beans also do not look like the beans in the photos they are disgusting! so gross and hot and spicy yuck!!!not edible! I dont think they used the right product probably just being lazy! whats the excuse on these tacos? other than just laziness? I think they used the chorizo in these beans which is not what I ordered!!! my mouth burns after 1 bite!! and now its to late to get any real food other than just fast food! at that door dash refused me a full refund for the stores simple laziness!!! this is bs! this isn't what I ordered! 12-3-20 update: we hadn't been out for a while but when my wife wanted to go out for mexican I knew where we were going. We Ordered our traditional favorites and were very disappointed. My taco salad was about half the size of normal and my wife's la deliciousa was mostly burnt. The food and service was good, but taking away a star because the food wasn't nearly as good as past visits. Not sure where we'll go next time. I wish I'd taken pictures, compared to the old ones here would have been nice. Edit: this is my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Parkersburg. Service and food are great! Ordered lunchtime taco salad, no beans, with guacamole. Could really taste that the guacamole was fresh, until I loaded it with hotsauce anyway. Had to ask for hotsauce; if I'm at a Mexican restaurant I want it at the table waiting for me, so that was aggravating from the get go.
