Thoughts on our experience were initially shared on one of our receipts regarding the disappointing service we received last night in lieu of a public review. However, after the night ended, I feel it’s necessary to speak out. We met friends at Game On, who arrived before us around 10pm. Two different waitresses came over with the wrong food, but it took my friends almost half an hour before a third person came to take food orders. A fourth waitress arrived to the table about half an hour later to acknowledge SHE was our server and apologized for “not being able to handle this many people at once.” One of the other servers came by to tell us she knew we had been neglected by the other staff and mentioned it to her manager. She informed us the manager advised they would take care of the bill. We knew we would pay for our alcohol. However, the fourth server came back with our full bills. We had to explain to her and a second server, who if she was the manager never told us, what we had been told regarding the promise of a comped meal. We never ASKED for a comp, we were promised one by the staff, so an attempt not to honor that was inappropriate in our minds. Overall, there appeared to be zero communication among the staff. I applaud and appreciate that after explaining our poor experience to two servers, we got our food comped. However, the overall experience with Game On was so abysmal, we opted not to tip and a note was left stating, “this was terrible. We will not be back.” My friends decided to stay and one of them ordered a Diet Coke and would have paid for it. However, the server who acknowledged she forgot about us ran over, shouted at us that we were trash and demanded we leave and get drinks elsewhere. If you want a decent meal and service that is not hostile, avoid this...
Read moreThis place should be Game Over, first off I have both bartended and served. At one point the whole restaurant had 18 people including us in it for the whole time we were there. Appeared 2 servers one bartender. One party left tipped the server for drinks but waited for at least 30 mins before the server came back. We waited 30 mins just for menus. Then we order two apps which take an additional 30 mins to get. Then we order grilled chicken salads. About 45 mins before we get those apps were barely warm and the chicken cold on salad. Ok if the apps were warm they would have been great the salad cold chicken or not ok decent but server comes back maybe another 30 mins with our next beer, which I order tall they bring me a short say it isn’t the beer but close but if I hate it they will throw it out. I drink it no biggie I think. Then another 15-20 mins for bills. Don’t know how they will stay in business. This was on a Monday eve. The menu actually looked good too. But the lack of trying from everyone was hands down one of the worst service and wait almost 3 hrs for bar food. And at first I thought well maybe the server was new….if you are or if there is a problem in the kitchen tell me or at least acknowledge anyone acknowledge why no one is being served . One guy left while we were there and as I walked out simply said to the table who got there own menus good luck an god speed they laughed. Then I find it hilarious on the bill it has suggested gratuities. While I am a Extremely generous tipper I have tipped more for my coffee at Starbucks or Dunkin then here. Hands down worst experience. And I am extremely patient but not a thanks for coming want anything...
Read moreWent to GameOn in Parma Heights lastnight. Place was close to empty and it took almost two hours to get our food..for three people. Lizzie the waitress spent the majority of her time speaking to some guy at the bar after bringing our drinks and never bothered to check on my table for 1.5 hours. She proceeded to help a group of 7-8 people that came in after us. They got food, drinks and refills of water meanwhile my group had nothing still. Going into the 4th quarter of the game (around 10pm ish) my friend went to the bar and made her go check on our food as she was in DEEP conversation with some man at the bar. She then comes to our table and tells us that the kitchen crew, whom she said were teenagers making the food, threw our food ticket away. So, for 1.5 hours, she never once bothered to check to see of our food was ready but made sure everyone she made an effort to speak to was well taken care of. She finally got the kitchen crew to make our food and when we got the food, the fries were hard but burger were decent. This was the most terrible experience I've had here and won't bother coming back. I'll stick to Linking Wizard in Independence where the service is better as well as the...
