We went here yesterday to take my parents to dinner for my dad's birthday dinner while they were in town visiting... SO DISAPPOINTED! First of all, if you have a group bigger than 4 people, good luck getting a spot to eat. It's not necessarily a bad thing or negative, but would have been nice to know prior to driving out to eat here so just a heads up that they have LIMITED SEATING and definitely not enough space or tables for larger groups. We were told a 15 minute wait for the 7 of us and it was more like 45. They did give us menus to look over while we waited which was appreciated, but they failed to mention that they were out of spaghetti noodles and brisket so it was pretty much a waste of time since half of us were ordering at least one of those items. (Well, intending to anyways...) Once the food came, so did more disappointment unfortunately. The Smack Mac or whatever the Mac & Cheese is called was WAY WAY WAYYYY over cooked and gooped together and mushy. It had ZERO flavor aside from the tablespoon of cheese sauce in the middle of it. (The cheese sauce was SO good and flavourful and would have been absolutely amazing if it was enough for even ¼ of the Mac and cheese in the bowl.) My Moms chicken came and we knew there was going to be an issue with it being undercooked as soon as she tried to pull a piece off as it was extremely hard to pull off of the bone and was cold from about 1cm in all the way to the center. The patty for the hamburger was over cooked and dry. The pulled pork was soooo greasy that my mom that got it as a replacement for her undercooked chicken; couldn't even stand to eat it. My husband couldn't finish more than half of his due to the amount of grease. The positives were that the BBQ sauces on the table are absolutely delicious ! Definitely a sauce for everyone to love. My dad said the ribs were "good enough", and my son loved his Philly cheese steak! The decor and atmosphere are fitting and pretty neat, the staff was decently nice and I think genuinely felt bad about the negatives we experienced. We are hoping the issues we had were because they are newer and still figuring things out, but given the previous reviews raving about the food 2+ months ago it doesn't seem likely. Super sad and disappointed with our experience but appreciated the staff trying to make up for the issues. If they ever invest in getting their own, bigger space, we may try it again in the future after they've had time to...
Read moreIf DeDe's is closed this place does not live up to the same quality! We asked for the fatty portion of the brisket and they gave us the dry end for some reason, which was very dry and tasteless and not good! The sweet potato fries were soggy and cold. The coleslaw was not good either! The waitress also told us that there were no onions in the spaghetti sauce, but there were. We also unfortunately ordered the double chocolate cake, which was a huge disappointment. Tasted like a box mix that had been watered down, with the worst chocolate frosting I've ever tasted! The only good thing about it was the chocolate moose in the center. If you have refined taste buds i would recommend eating somewhere else. ETA: This review is not biased or aggressive in anyway. My opinion of the food served at this restaurant is based on having better food from other restaurants!! I did not read the other negative reviews before we came to this restaurant, and now I regret that we didn't! Because now we had to come here and experience the terribleness for ourselves! Changed from two to one star, Because of the rudeness...
Read moreI wanted to be fair to a small town restaurant before writing this review so I ate there 3 separate times. Unfortunately, it never got better. The food is way overpriced for the quality and quantity. The Philly sandwich was 80% bread, 10% cheese and the rest meat and peppers. So disappointing. This time we tried the jalapeño poppers and fried pickles for the appetizer. My husband laughed out loud when he saw the poppers and referred to them as stuffed green beans. I got the kids slider burgers with Mac and cheese. The little burgers come out on Texas toast which was buttery, crunchy and good. Perfect size for smaller appetites. The Mac and cheese was dry and semi crispy or “old” noodles with liquid cheese on top. Probably great for a kid that won’t notice the texture or taste but it is also offered in the sides. Again- I always happy to support small businesses and shopping local but this place is a bust for food. The staff however is amazing. Joanna is so sweet, attentive and...
