Update: still amazing and I'm so grateful they're in Parowan so I can stop by often! Fantastic baked goods that change weekly and I mentioned how much I miss orange Julius and the barista made a copycat versiom that is PERFECTION!!

Great almond flour gluten free waffles. The staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. My family is looking forward to going back soon. The Primitive Waffle sandwich was made with two thick slices of ham (turkey was an option) and tons of fresh veggies. I'm craving it again already. My kids had the Halfling (pb&j) kids meal and the Gatherer (a fruit laden waffle) kids meal and ate every bite. If you have a chance stop in. They also have a bunch of gf baked goods that are awesome. My son ate his so fast I barely snagged a picture! This is a wonderful, clean, welcoming restaurant with awesome specials, fantastic staff, and all of my support. We visit often and are grateful to have them so close. Depending on who you talk to, you'll get a different recommendation of the "very best" menu items, but really you just can't go wrong. They're amazing. Their food is amazing. The barista/front of house people are creative and always smiling and friendly. I would give individual shout outs, but honeslty, they're all just fabulous. Whether you're gluten free or not you'll end up with an awesome, filling meal I'm certain...

On a road trip heading back home from Arizona to Idaho. We normally just stop in Parowan for gas but decided to get lunch as well. The Primitive Waffle will now be a regular stop. As soon as you walk in , you are greeted with big smiles from the staff. Since it was our first time, they explained theMenu and different options. We both went with waffle sandwiches. The waffles are made with Almond Flour and are light and fluffy. Mine was the "Yo Adrian" (Philly Cheesesteak) on a garlic waffle. The waffle had just a hint of garlic so it didn't overpower the rest of the sandwich. The meat was tender and flavorful. I think I like my Philly Cheesesteaks this way instead of on a roll. He had "The Hunter" on the original waffle. It had cheese, turkey, ham, bacon, and a fried egg. The perfect brunch sandwich. Their teas are cold and brewed fresh daily. The cucumber melon is one of the best iced teas that I have ever had. The owner/chef checked on us twice to make sure all was good. We decided to get two mini cardamom doubts sprinkled with cinnamon sugar to go. Of course we didn't make it too far before...

The Primitive Waffle Cavé is a family-owned gem in the heart of Parowan. We stopped here for lunch on our way back home to Utah Valley from St. George, and I’m so glad we did! The owners are kind and accommodating, the food is delicious (and completely safe for my husband with Celiac disease), the service is quick, and the decor and atmosphere are lovely. As a bonus, the owners have incorporated Ecuadorean decorations in the dining area and terminology in their menu. They have traveled to Ecuador several times and cherish their travels. It warms my heart to see my country of heritage embraced in this establishment! I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. We will definitely be back next time we are...

PHENOMENAL! It looked so good that I didn't even remember to take a picture before I started in. That's my bad, because presentation was excellent... You'll just have to judge from my partially eaten plate! This place takes what you used to know as "waffles" and reconstructs it into sandwich masterpieces. Who'd have thunk? Waffle sandwiches... But believe me, this is worth the drive! The Everything Waffle is a completely new take on a waffle, and paired to the "Primitive" with roast beef, where have you been all my life? I'll be driving the 18 miles from Cedar City to test out everything on the menu!
