Biryani Pot - Parsippany, NJ — Restaurant in Parsippany-Troy Hills

Review UPDATE : Taste and authenticity has gone for a toss. I hate to say this but this is the last time I am ordering from this restaurant. Biryani was horrible, I would never call it biryani, it was literally some masala rice with extra hot spices which could kill people for its spice quotient. Each and every grain of rice was broken (which only happens when you use some mediocre rice OR if the biryani from a day before). I had ordered chicken dum biryani family pack ($47) for dinner, it was so hot that we literally had to eat sugar with every morsel, it was unbearable and took away all the excitement of eating and ordering biryani. Also, it went stale by next morning despite having kept in the refrigerator. How come biryani which was supposedly made fresh for dinner go stale by morning. Bloody cheaters. Please AVOID ORDERING AND EATING HERE, you could be compromising on your and your family’s health.

Update:

I went to have dinner yesterday, almost all the tables were full but there was just one person attending all the tables. Other person was just bringing the take out orders from kitchen and placing it in a table outside kitchen.

My wife and I ordered two main courses, one was given on time and other one didn’t come until we left after 45 mins. Left the place without having dinner. It was highly disappointing. The person at billing counter apologized for this but our dinner was ruined as we were very hungry.

This doesn’t change past experience yet this is a new worst experience.

Biriyani Pot was favorite for me and my wife even before it was open in Parsippany. We use to travel till Jersey City to have food from here.

Coming back to Parsippany Biriyani Pot.

Very tasty food especially the Veggie Biriyani. Non and all vegetarian entrees are consistently good taste. Lassi sometimes fails the actual taste.

Staffs are friendly here.

This place is very clean and pleasant with the songs they play. For some reason they play Vidya Vox channel songs 90% of the time.

Restroom is very clean.

If there is a half star, I would even go for that . Horrible Place and the front desk at parsippany location is worst to deal with. Because my order was for $10, he mentioned, he doesn't care about the review and asked me to GET LOST. I order for Punjabi Samosa and Cafe Samosa (Onion), the order came up wrong. They gave me Cheese Samosa which is so horrible in taste. And I am told the quantity depends on the size. I order for Punjabi Samosa twice earlier in the same month, and the box had 4 Samosa, a week later they have changed to 3. When I called to place the order, with my name he started cracking jokes, which is an indecent behavior and not acceptable. in Sept, I ordered for Paneer tikaa, Dal Fry and Roti, the taste of Panner was horrible and they were hard to break.
