It's Boba Time! This rapidly expanding franchise will soon have over one hundred locations, mostly in Southern California. Moments into our first visit to this newly opened location we understand why.

The store is beautiful, the service is fast and very friendly, and the menu is overwhelmingly vast. We chose drinks from the top ten list. I ordered the #1 ranked Thai Tea Smoothie and my wife chose the #10 Strawberry Matcha Milk Tea. (Thanks to my fellow high level local guide Polly Gone for the Strawberry Matcha Milk Tea recommendation.)

Wow! The drinks were both instant food joy! The Thai Tea Smoothie is essentially a Thai Tea flavored milk shake. It's light and refreshing. It would be a great choice on a hot day. The Strawberry Matcha Milk Tea gave me a wave of childhood nostalgia as the fresh strawberry topping in the drink tasted exactly like the Dairy Queen strawberry topping I loved when I was a child.

We are looking forward to exploring their amazing and expansive menu. With smoothies, slushes, coffee, juices, milk teas, shave ice, milk foams, and more there is something for everyone. Welcome to Pasadena, It's Boba Time!

Boba Time is a place Ive been going to since the mid 2000s in their K Town location. Their drinks always hit the spot and are of good quality. Having said that, this location in particular is no less the same, but the customer service leaves something to be desired. My mother in law is new to boba drinks and was curious about the different types of flavors and asked the crew about the drinks. The customer service she received was awful, in the sense that the staff looked bothered with a blank stare, was non-receptive to her questions, and answered with vague one liner answers. It made her, a first time customer, feel awful. Another time, me and my family were waiting for staff to ask a question and the staff of 2 completely ignored us, so we stuck to what we had from our previous orders.

So all in all, the drinks are good, just that the customer service isnt friendly or welcoming so be prepared to order online or use the kiosk, because God forbid you have to interact...

This is well lit clean store. It's a little bit out of the way but there is parking behind the building as well as on the street and in the parking lot attached to the plaza next door. It's a cute trendy little place. Bright interior with lots of good signage. There are many desserts to choose from but to my knowledge they don't have anything vegan or gluten free. They have many many drinks and variations thereof to choose from as well as things like acai bowls. You can adjust the ingredients including the type of boba how sweet you want the drink etc. I usually get there black iced tea with boba which is really good. They have a lot of different sizes to choose from and the cups are sitting out so you know exactly what you're getting. The service is fast. I found that sometimes the cashiers don't really know answers to questions but they try. My only criticism really is that the air conditioning is blasting...
