The owner was VERY rude. I asked to return the Indonesian Fried Rice since there was literally 5 pieces of chicken and a few strings of noodles. My original intention was just to get more chicken and noodles or to order another item like fried chicken but the girl ant the register offered to refund so I took the food back.

It seems the owner was offended because I was the first person to complain? While the girl at the register was refunding the money, he point out to the sign "We Reserve The Right To Refuse Service To Anyone" and he said I don't need to serve you nor do I need business from you. I was more frustrated and angry when he accused me of eating half the food and return it without checking the box even after I challenged him to “look at the box”. He started laughing when I said customers have the right to complain, to be treated with respect and there's a saying "Customer Is Always Right" because they are the reason you have jobs and business. They continue laughing when I left.

I realized At the end of the day, he's just uneducated and ungrateful restaurant owner. Needless to say, that was my first and final time visiting...

One of the best fried chicken you will ever have! Very much worth trying everything in the menu. A few favorites of mine: bihon noodles combination (rich noodles + all meats and shrimp), loco moco (better than Ono BBQ and L&L Hawaiian), and of course, their famous fried chicken. On rainy or cold days, the ox tail soup is a must!

My family’s favorite place to order after Sunday mass or whenever we’re feeling lazy to cook at home but still want a delicious satisfying home-cooked like meal. Great for ordering take out for potlucks or family parties. Best bang for your buck in Pasadena and you'll leave fully satisfied!!! Do yourself a favor and try this place out. Small note: this is a small cozy family style eatery, don’t expect your typical gentrified “Asian” restaurant, non-plastic utensils, or a romantic setting. However, Ou are going to receive phenomenal service from the proprietors and a ever so satisfying meal. Enjoy the simple...

I've been a customer for many years. This is one of my favorite take out places. The price went up quite a bit (almost double, regular meal plate used be $7-8 before the pandemic) like every other restaurant. What is really sad is that overall experience is not as good as in the past. It's getting inconsistent. I rarely see the owner lady last a couple of years whenever I take out, maybe she works a lot fewer hours, that seems to make a big difference of the food quality and service. Katsu chicken doesn't come with the sauce any more. The cashier said I have to pay extra. The Katsu chicken was wet, and not as crispy as I remember. The curry was filled less than half of the container, I had to complain, the cashier came back, added maybe a small spoon more, and said that's normal. I really miss the owner lady's greeting with her...

Very good fried chicken, but the katsu and short rib combo was just ok. Pics will show very little meat on the ribs and texture was a little off, like meat after using tenderizer. Flavor was ok, but couldn’t get past the texture and didn’t finish the little beef there was on the bone. Also a bit disappointed that they didn’t have ox tail in any shape or form, which was the main reason for visit. Fried chicken was to retry great, so not a wasted trip but not the best one either. Service was very friendly and you can call ahead like I did, so definitely worth another shot when ox tail is back in stock.

Have noticed this place for awhile and finally decided to go and try it. It's in a small strip mall with a share parking lot and a donut shop next to it. The owner is very nice and explained the menu on the wall and advised us to take our time. While there, noticed there was a continuation of business in the form of customers walking in to place their orders, picking up their food or calling in. We ordered three items and each was an extremely large portion and flavorful. I could tell they care about this business given the attention and returning customers.

Better than expected. We like it better than Ono's. Orders and credit card can be taken over the phone. They are willing to pass food through front door (great for those of high risk/health conditions). Great local joint. Crispy fried chicken $9.49 Indonesia fried rice (mawut) $9.39 - texture of their fried rice was really good. 2 Musubi $4.78 Bbq Beef (reg, double macaroni vs rice is free) $9.69 - Beef is salty so the rice or mac is great to mix with. Beef is also tenderized like how Chinese restaurants do so for their sauteed meats.
