I’ve been to a lot of fast-food locations, but this Pasadena Whataburger is on a whole other level… and not in a good way. This place is a masterclass in failure—from drive-thru management to staff behavior to food quality, it’s a total dumpster fire.
Drive-Thru Hell: Expect to wait anywhere from 10 minutes to over 45 minutes for a single burger and drink. Customers are routinely ignored while staff prioritizes other orders. Two drive-thru lines exist, yet one line often sits abandoned while the other moves. Curbside pickup? Prepare to wait an hour.
Staff Chaos: The employees behave like children on a playground—laughing, shouting, and wandering around, completely unchecked. Senior staff are either distracted with friends or overwhelmed, leaving the chaos unchecked. One reviewer literally called it a “playground in the kitchen.” Impossible to enjoy your meal in peace.
Management: Absolute Disgrace: The managers here are not just ineffective—they are disdainful, dismissive, and shameful excuses for human beings. Complaints are shrugged off, staff supervision is nonexistent, and customers are treated like an inconvenience. One manager laughed while customers were ignored; another had just arrived and clearly had no idea how to manage the chaos. Any hope of improvement is buried under a mountain of apathy and arrogance. Especially when the older manager just shrugs and rolls her eyes and just exasperatingly says "Oh my God" in Spanish, like we don't know what she's saying.
Food Fiasco: Cold fries, stale buns, burnt gravy, missing sauces, wrong drink sizes, and old leftovers are all reported. Even a $50 order can leave you empty-handed or disappointed. Any claims of “freshly cooked” food are laughable—the quality is consistently poor.
Occasional Bright Spots: On rare occasions, a friendly employee may provide good service—but these moments are the exception, not the rule.
Conclusion: If you value your time, sanity, or taste buds, avoid this location at all costs. With disdainful managers, childish staff, and cold, incorrect food, this Pasadena Whataburger is a ticking time bomb of frustration. Make sure everyone you know stays...
Read moreExtremely frustrated with the service here at this specific location during late hours. At around 1:16 A.M., my boyfriend made an online order on the mobile app. We ordered two burger combos, and headed on our way. On the app it said the order would be ready by 1:22 A.M. We get there, tell the name of the order to one of the employees, and then he told us to wait over on the side, while going on to "look" for our order. So we wait....and wait...and wait.... what could be taking so long? They seem to be more focused on the orders of the drive through more than mobile orders. A dude before us was there for god knows how long and after at least 30 minutes since we have been there, he recieved his food. Now i understand if it gets busy, 15 minutes? Fine. 20? Sure. However...it took us nearly an hour before we recieved our order. Yeah, we got our order ignored pretty much. It wasn't until we reached out to another employee, who looks to be a manager, and THEN they started our order. So we didnt even get it until 2:08 AM. Its absolutely frustrating especially since we ordered ahead through the app. It seems to be management along with the fact that the employees look like they dont really care. I can just see it in their faces. As for the food? It was....fine. One of the burgers seemed to be slightly warm, and I know they can do better. Probably wont be returning here for a while. At least not at...
Read moreI have been going to this Whataburger for a very long time but after the experience that I have had tonight I will not be returning EVER! Tonight my mom and I went to pick up a burger for my dad. We went through the drive through and ordered him a Double meat Whataburger with cheese no onion easy Mustard. When we got to the window to pay we realized that they had not made the correct order (made an entirely different burger all together) and asked that they please correct the order. After we received the order( Bag was closed of course), we returned home to give my dad his burger. He sat down at the table, removed the burger from the bag and began to eat it. After a couple of bites, he reached into the bag in search of a napkin. It however was not a napkin that he had when he removed his hand. It was in fact a piece of USED TOILET PAPER that it appeared to have cheese on it. My dad immediately took the order with the receipt back to the Whataburger to address the situation. When my father began speaking to the manager and showing the manager just what he found in the bag, the manager took the toilet paper, looked at it and simply said( and I am quoting the manager here), " Well Sir, This is not the toilet paper that we use here". No apology or anything. That was the only thing that he would say. My dad was finally able to get his money refunded...
