We have been here twice and have had a great experience each time. They currently have a hand washing station at their entrance and they are quick to clean and disinfect the tables. Once cleaned they place a layer of butcher paper on the table. Throughout the week they have amazing daily specials. The most common special it's the all you can eat shrimp. This isn't your typical all you can eat shrimp as you have the choice between regular fried shrimp, coconut, spicy and golden (which is shrimp coated in corn meal). The shrimp was really good (we tried a round of each). My favorite is the coconut shrimp but my wife thinks the all star is their cole slaw. The service has also been to notch. On each occasion we have received great service. Their staff has always made the place inviting and are very attentive to your needs. During our last visit the place got really busy but their staff including the owner did an amazing job serving guests. I definitely recommend this place.

Hadn't been here in a few years. It's Father's Day, so we were anticipating a long wait time, but to our surprise, we ended up waiting no more than 5 minutes to be seated. Our waiter Miguel was kind and, even though he was waiting on a couple of other tables, he serviced us well. We did feel it was a bit pricey, but the food was delicious. We had the boudin balls to start, which were yummy! And the hush puppies they bring while you wait are so good as well. I ordered the Magnolia Seafood Pasta (the chicken and mushroom option), and my husband had the Catfish Conzumel. Both dishes were delicious. We also ordered the catfish with mac and cheese and cheeseburger and fries for the kiddos, which they ate up. Overall our experience went well and we'd visit again.

My wife and I are very picky eaters and love when we find a good restaurant. Finding a great restaurant is rare, but Sudies is a great restaurant. It doesn't matter what you order it will be awesome! We have had the fried fish, onion rings, Jambalaya, fried green tomatoes, Mac and cheese, fried okra and a lot more and everything we have had has been exceptional. Both my wife and I have lived in New Orleans for years and we know what good food is, Sudies could make it as a great restaurant in New Orleans where most restaurants would never last more than a year but Sudies would grow old there. If you eat at Sudies you won't be disappointed in the least bit.

So, I'm active on Yelp, Google and any other social media you want to look at my reviews... We called ahead to make sure they were open on New Year's day... Friendly voice assured us that were open. We get there and they have open seating, meaning just sit down and they'll get to you. The server was nice but not knowledgeable about the menu or beer prices. I'll chalk that up to inexperience or poorly trained. Now, let me digress a bit, my son and I are looking to start a YouTube channel for food and conversation about the food, staff, and anything else we want to talk about... Similar to Seinfeld when they are in the restaurant but we'll be talking about every topic from sports to politics to fashion to cars...and of course the food we eat... We will give it a review... We want to look at a few local places to see where we want to start... I shall proceed... They claim world famous chicken tenders... My son ordered them with mac and cheese... I'll give them 4 stars for the mac and cheese... It's dang good... Not chick fil a good... But, homestyle good...my wife and I split a mean with 5 shrimp, 4 fish and a crab cake... The fried shrimp was Sam's club quality... Zero taste and as bland as cardboard... The crabcake seemed to be frozen or an old oder they heated back up to save a couple of bucks... The the catfish was about as bland and boring like a night with my ex-wife... We paid 23 bucks for a plate that was below Long John Silver quality... But, I did have the mac and cheese... And if I didn't say so yet .. it was good... I asked my boy if I could try the chicken tender because I fancy myself a tender Connoisseur of sort... I didn't even get it torn off before I noticed the pink chicken staring at me like Pink the singer singing a love song to me... We notified the manager, we weren't Karen's about it, and we declined to have a reorder... Finished our drinks and the couple of bites of mac and cheese... It was that good... If you go, just order the mac and cheese and you'll be safe... Then our server brought the check... I am now getting in half Karen fired up... Not only did they try to make my son sick, they were going to charge me to do it... This was a 3/4 Karen mode at this point, but I stayed calm and after waiting for someone to acknowledge my existence for about 15 to 20 minutes, I finally asked the server in a loud voice for the manager... Finally, she came by and offered a discount on a meal my son wasn't able to eat... Dang, if you need the 12 dollars that bad, I can pay for it... Geez... I was in full Karen fuming but stayed calm... She left for a few minutes to get another manager.. she finally reappeared with a new check minus the tender killers... Now, I have been a restaurant manager and my son a sous chef... They were not busy and they struggled with the few people who were there... I cannot recommend a place who will not apologize for their screw up and then blame you for their screw up... At this point enter at your own risk... They has a few good reviews, but they might be from friends And family... Just beware when you enter... Have a happy new year and be on the look out for our...

When I first visited this place a few years ago I had reservations after the looks by some of the staff but I ate here anyway because of my daughter, it being her birthday. After we visited again today I'm sad to report a horrible experience that validated my initial feelings. After waiting to be seated, we wait another 15 minutes for someone to come to our table, but no one never did. I had to go to the hostess station to ask for a waiter/waitress. After we asked for one, someone (not our waitress) came over and took our drink orders and delivered our drinks. It was another almost 10 minutes before we had a waitress come to our table. She took our orders and almost 20 minutes later we were still waiting on our food when she came over to tell us that they were out of what we ordered. Mind you, by now we had already almost been there for close to an hour only for her to tell us she doesn't have what we ordered. We told her we didn't want to order anything else and ask her to clear our ticket. She clears the tickets of all but the drinks. I called the manager over because I felt like it was unfair to charge us for the drinks when we had already been waiting almost an hour and still didn't have any food and had hardly drank any of our drinks (to say we've been there as long as we had). The manager's response was that we would still have to pay for the drinks because we had drank some of them already, even after I explained how long we had been there and how long we'd been been waiting to order or just to have a waitress. He never apologized and seemed nonchalant about the situation. In the midst of all of this they bring out a kids meal that I ordered for my niece (which I would have gladly paid for) and even after I explained the situation to the lady that brought the food out, she just told me to keep it because they would only take it to the back and throw it away anyway. When our waitress brought back the ticket she took the food that my niece (2 years old) was actively eating (they literally took it off the table while my niece was eating it) explaining that because they took it off the ticket they would have to take it back. Although we thought it was unfair we did not argue and we paid for our drinks. I'm very disappointed in my experience and as many years as we have been going here, we have never experienced the service that we did today. I usually don't write reviews on restaurants, but the horrible service on top of the lack of concern the manager showed for the service we received prompted me to...

Will not be returning to this establishment ever. Asked for a sprite for my daughter and the server brought pink lemonade? Ordered one of the big bundles that come with shrimp, crab clusters, crawfish, potato's, sausage and corn. 3lbs of crawfish, 2 lbs spicy and 1 mild, both had no flavor and were fishy. The "spicy" batch had absolutely no spice at all. It was like they had dumped the crawfish fresh from unseasoned boiled water onto the plates and gave them to us. Then when we told our server it was bad and we hadn't eaten any of the food, she didn't care, didn't say anything and never had a manager come speak with us or anything. $120 dinner bill and we left our plates full on the table. Terrible customer service and the front desk lady which I'm assuming was the manager had an attitude when we told her the food was nasty and had no spice or flavor. Quality of food AND services here are no good. 👎

EDIT to response: We asked the woman manager at the front desk if there were new owners or something because we had a crawfish bundle here last year and it was good. We told her it wasn't how we remembered it and we didn't even eat our food this time. Her response was "Well it's the same people and same recipe it's always been". Then for you to tell me on my review it's new employees? Normally if something is wrong with your food you'd expect your managers to care or get to the bottom of what happened. Not her, we got her snide remark about it being the same as always, and we told her we won't be returning then and she said well have a great...
