I have eaten a lot of "Chinese" food in my life. I am from Chicago a food town. Hong Kong Palace is just about the only place here on the Gulf Coast that doesn't try to recycle food service items into "authentic" dishes. Their regular entrees are OK. I make better fried rice though. The wonton soup is great. The egg rolls are also very good even though they are small. The egg foo young is the best I have ever had, anywhere. I would have given this place 4 out of 5 stars but as mentioned it isn't perfect in all areas. Ultimately I gave it 2 stars because even though the lady is very sweet and makes sure you have all you need ala utensils and condiments, I was just told that they can't make egg foo young right now because they are too busy and to order that in the morning time. What?! Don't offer things on the menu that you aren't willing to prepare, or get more help in the kitchen! I won't be going back for a while, might learn to make these dishes for myself. Super annoyed, was looking forward to eating what I wanted all day.
