Buca's Seafood — Restaurant in Paterson

Friend of mine raves about this place but it’s 30 minutes away . Well last night he convinced a bunch of us to try it .

It’s Paterson so parking can be tricky but enough side streets to find a spot.

Definitely more of a takeout place but a few seats .

Lots of seafood and even steaks on the menu . We ordered a steak ,fried shrimp , boneless wings , salmon, and of course snow crab !

Took about 20 minutes and everything is made fresh right in front of you .

Place was busy for 10:30 at night .

My friend said the boneless wings were about the best he ever had .

I had crab legs awesome . Salmon awesome and fried shrimp all top notch and fresh . Seasoning was so good on everything didn’t even use the sauces they gave me .

Double order of crab legs , 6 fried jumbo shrimp, and an order salmon was just under $50. The crab legs were $15 an order and good sized.

Owner was manning the grill and talked to us while he was working for a minute or so but place was pretty busy so he had to get those orders out .

Worth the hour round trip. The food was well packaged so taking it home is the best way to do...

i work a lot so wasting 1 hour of my time on takeout and then NEVER GETTING MY FOOD had me frustrated. i had to wait in front of the register for at least 10 min while the girl in the front was trying to find herself and was taking other orders as she literally is looking at me. i kid you not after 45 minutes i was still being told it’ll be 5 minute wait. i placed an order on the otherside of paterson got my food and came back to bucas for the giggles…. my order wasn’t even being made. I asked them if my order was ready and they looked at each other and at me like it was straight out of comedy. i can almost swear someone was running a prank on me.

im not a high baller but a $50 order shouldn’t be overlooked at this place for an entire hour. Poor organization, poor customer service.

Overall if you’re feeling risky and willing to play the wait game and only stick to certain items you should be...

I called a pickup order on 2/23 around 9:30pm. I was told that my order would be ready in about 20 min, my son went to pick it up on time to only be told that the food is not ready. The girl in front had him waiting for exactly 22 min until another female employee asked what is he waiting for. That 2nd female EE then tried discreetly to let the 1st girl know that the food was already sitting there. So my $65 order was sitting there the whole time, and lied about it when my son called them out on it by saying "no, it just came out". The food was cold, the lobster mac n cheese was horrible, the cheese and all items was cold and hard. The fried fish and shrimps were soggy from sitting in containers that were already hot, now cold!!!!
