El Tipico — Restaurant in Paterson

Food was good but one star sadly for terrible service. Went with my boyfriend to have a nice dinner but was disappointed by the way I was spoken to. Just wanted to order a bandeja paisa with chicken , ordering straight from the menu. But when I asked for a different type of rice I was told the chicharrón wouldn’t be included since there’s already chicken??? It’s not about the money for me , I pay for what I want. But it seems it is for them. I’m ordering something straight from the menu , not like i was making anything up. Sucks because they could’ve worked with me so they could make profit and I could get what I ordered. It’s a really pretty place outside so it drew us in and I wish they would’ve been nice so we could’ve dined in and went back on other occasions. So no more beer after 10... I order vegetarian food and huevos rancheros they get me chicken and jam and i was out side calling the stuff noone came so have to go inside and bring the plate.... She said thats how we make it here and that she forgot THAT I DONT LIKE MEET.... First theres a big difference betwin dont like and been vegetarian... So i order just some chees and natilla it take like 10 min to get there so the pinto was cold... Then i want to take out because i cannot eat cold food have to go again inside because in 15 min moving my hand noone came... Read to the end, best review ever! 🥴 I was so disappointed. The food was terrible, all of it. We had 7 orders all bland and flavorless. The empanadas seemed like they were fried 3 different times that day and were rock hard. The fish was like rubber. A skirt steak was brought instead of steak and onions, of which no temperature was asked for anyways and it came to the table dry and super over cooked. The waitress begged me to at least take the barely touched food home and handed me containers. Trying not be rude I opened one and… WAIT FOR IT… it was used and dirty inside, with a hair!!! I wanted to laugh but she was mortified so I just asked for the check....
