Let me start off, I’m never the type to cause any complications or be problematic. I don’t even normally write negative reviews! I’ve been buying food at this restaurant off & on for well over 10 years. The customer service have usually been decent. Having a language barrier with some of the ladies have never been an issue. I only speak English. I simply ordered stew chicken, white rice & a small sea food soup and was charged FORTY FIVE DOLLARS. For what ever reason, she stacked white rice in a large container & did the same with the chicken. I respectfully declined to pay & I asked several times if I could have my rice & chicken combined in the large foil container. I literally ordered this exact meal 2 months ago. I repeatedly explained & they continued to pretend that they had no clue what I requesting. Their attitudes were so nasty might I add. She placed the chicken in a smaller container & brought the total to $35. I’m no idiot & do believe the particular woman was trying to up sale me....

My husband, always on the lookout for authentic Dominican restaurants, was eager to try this spot. While street parking was a bit of a challenge, we managed to find a spot within a few blocks.

The restaurant is small and intimate, with a handful of tables. The ordering process is unique, as you select your dishes from a glass case and place your order at the counter.

We started with a refreshing Jugo de Cereza (cherry juice), which was a perfect balance of sweet and tart.

Bacalao (salted cod) was cooked to perfection, tender and not overly salty. Vegetable rice was a flavorful accompaniment.

Cocido de Paticas (Pig Feet Stew) was a standout dish, with the meat falling off the bone effortlessly. The Black Bean Moro and Habichuelas Roja (red kidney beans) rounded out our meal nicely.

This seemed like a no-frills, local restaurant, ideal for a quick and affordable meal. The authentic Dominican flavors and friendly service made for a satisfying...

Completely forgot about my last visit and went there today for food got home all containers were half open Everything was soaked in the gravy from the chicken Rice was so hard and dry and STEW chicken was tasteless to and greasy as I don't know what NEVER AGAIN

More recently...they must have a new cook, atleast before the food was good so i didnt mind the high prices but after tonight i wont be returning. Food had no flavor, steak was very salty and to make it worse the server was rude as all hell and watched our every move as we ate

Food was good for the most part however when we asked for condiments, hot sauce & ketchup, we were given one packet of each and told that she would have to charge us for extra!! That is ridiculous! Although food was good they are definitely overpriced. They know their food is good because restaurant is always packed and I think that's the only reason why they get away with...
