La Cachema — Restaurant in Paterson

This place is BAD. The jalea we ordered must've been microwaved as it was completely dried out. It felt like we were eating sawdust! I suspect they microwaved it in the exact same container they served the food in as it burned a hole through plastic in the process (see attached image). The other image is of a clam that came with jalea, also completely dried out and revolting to look at. The bisteck a lo pobre was equally unappealing and with a flavor unbefitting of a meat dish that we could not identify. The container of seafood soup (I forget the name) contained a giant clam shell and two large mussel shells which made up for about half of the container's volume so we were only getting half of the soup portion for the same price. While the quality of the soup seemed fine, we could not bring ourselves to eat it after tasting the first two dishes and threw the majority of our $72 order in the garbage. Never again I use to eat here all the time but I recently order chicken that comes with fries and salad I also ordered rice and a leche de tigre as we eating I opened the salad to serve and we found a roach we where so disgusted that we didn’t even eat the food we threw whatever we had on our plates out and left the rest there when I called they gave me the run around until the guy was like well we can refund what u didn’t touch I’m like we served the food because that’s what it was for to eat anyway long story short my total food was $50 out of that they only refunded $14 I basically wasted my money I felt so nauseous after there excuse was they fumigated like if that’s an excuse for me...
