Tropical Juice Bar — Restaurant in Paterson

Today, I stopped by to purchase smoothies & a Juice and a few empanadas for two separate orders. While the food and culture here are absolutely amazing and the place looked very clean and upright. Though, the only thing thats going to prevent me from coming back is the Service. The lady with the Grey Shirt who is most likely the manager, made a mistake after i repeated my order about 3 times. She seemed to have an attitude and did not smile at all.

I ordered a papaya and pineapple smoothie with water and honey. I repeated this specific order more than once because she was slow with taking my order. After i paid, i asked for a receipt and realized she did not charge me for the honey. I waited until she begun that order, and i also realized she put sugar instead of honey, i quickly objected and told her that I asked for honey. She told me “you didn’t ask for honey”, and customers around heard when i repeated my order to her and were agreeing with me. She quickly apologized and remade me my smoothie but with such attitude and zero urgency.

My last realization was how understaffed they are, there were only 2 people behind the counter. One was in the back on their cellphone before leaving. And the lady in the front taking customers and making smoothies at her own pace which is and should be embarrassing for a 10+ year long company such as this. You would expect top-notch service from the door, but unfortunately I received a horrible service.

Would Rate 0 Stars if possible for service. But the cleanliness is great 10/10.

Poor service like this will prevent loyal customers from eating here, I don’t care how good the food is. Mistreatment like that should be evaluated...

Ive been coming here a few times to eat and i love it! Although, there’s a few problems. First of all, no security. Too many homeless and crazy people barge inside of this restaurant asking for food and money. The employees can’t do much except ask them to leave or call the police. It really gets annoying constantly seeing these people harassing others and being hostile towards them especially when’s there’s women and children around. The other day, i saw a homeless guy almost throw a chair at the employees!!! Since majority of the employees are women, it is DANGEROUS for them to continue working like this. Just wow. This place honestly needs security to ensure their protection.Second, the heat. The fan that they have is barely giving any air!! Is there no AC??!? With the weather going up more the place is practically burning!!! I feel bad for the employees needing to deal with this heat. I sometimes overhear them say how much they are burning up and don’t feel well. Honestly that’s just inhumane working in such conditions. I really like going to this place but it’s too much going on…I hope that whoever is in charge of this place takes consideration of...

I was just there today, I stopped in for something light to eat for lunch. The girls were friendly but very unorganized and distracted. I am not sure what they are distracted about, it might just be their nature. The cashier girl even mocked me for saying the menu item in English in front of me. They also made my drink relatively quickly but my sandwich was a half hour wait. The line got long so I decided I waited long enough and asked for my sandwich. No one remembered my order and they realized it was sitting there the whole time. They didn’t even apologize and that’s when they mocked me afterwards after saying the menu item in English. The fries with my sandwich were burned as well. The girls messed up on other customers orders as well. I have been to this place before in Passaic on Myrtle, which was much better. I guess this Paterson...
