Bill & Bob's Roast Beef — Restaurant in Peabody

Its an old run down restaurant. Back in it's hayday Bill and Bob's was a famous roast beef family restaurant. Now it's old run down. To get to the bathroom you have to walk through the kitchen near the hot grill and meat slicer where you get a full view of the roast beef being served to you. If there isn't​ a health code violation with that, just the sheer gross factor of knowing that random people go through the kitchen to get through the bathroom is enough to not want to go back. The service was okay. But, I give credit to the lady up front at the register for dealing with a loud, yelling, aggressive, verbally abusive co-worker. By the way this same co-worker that slices the meat and prepared the food also was on his cellphone on a personal call having an argument with someone, walking in and out of the kitchen area to go outside only to smoke. He would come back in and continue handling food. Once again the gross factor. STAY FAR AWAY from Bill and Bob's! Its NOT the same Bill and Bob's that a local grew up eating. P this place used to be nice they would make you a roast beef sandwich and they put some meat on it especially a large roast beef but ever since they have new help they don't know what the heck they're doing and I've been coming here for 30 years plus such a big disappointment in the past month that I've gone there and got a large beef with light sauce and light mayo The service is fast but they just don't put enough meat on the sandwich they say that they weigh it up at 4 oz for a large beef are you kidding me 4 oz you can go to pizza place across the street they give you a steak bomb it might be $2 more but they're giving you at least another 6 oz more of meat ridiculous I'm never going back again I don't know who that lady is that works there kind of heavy set shot with brunette here but she's completely useless years ago even 3 years ago it was only like $6.50 now they want $8.34 it's ridiculous it's absolutely ridiculous and not fair to the public I'd stay clear away from this place let me tell you what a big disappointment very sad...

One of the best beefs around. Get a super beef with two pieces of American cheese one on the top one on the bottom. Basically on the roll. Then split the sandwich into two putting the roast beef evenly on both sides. Jake the mac & cheese bites that you order and take six of them and lay them on top of the roast beef that’s on the bottom bun three across and then right below it another three across. Then take the other half of the roast beef put it on top of the mac & cheese bites and press down pinching corners. I promise you won’t regret it. It’s an explosion of a deliciousness that tickles the taste buds. You can get some sauce and mayo if you want, but I don’t do mayo. And maybe a little bit depending how I feel.
