I landed at the Peabody Town Hall this morning to pick up a business certificate for our company. I asked the lady at the Clerk's Office if there was any Cafe close by with great coffee. She said if I don't mind driving a bit further up the street her favorite is Breaking Grounds. I arrived and was pleased to find plenty of on street parking. I entered the shop and got a wonderful greeting and also loved how quaint it was with what looked to be a lot of handmade items for sale. The menu up on the board showcased their breakfast and luncheon items. The lunch sandwiches had 4 favorites of mine and a few others I'd definitely want to try. I opted for a breakfast sandwich. It was fantastic. Now for their coffee. I'm a tough sell on coffee because I find most cafes lately lost the art of making a really good brew. I went to say one of the special lattes and said out loud, nevermind, I keep forgetting the sugary syrups that are used. I believe it was the owner who explained all of their flavors are homemade and that I would not get that blast of an over sugared beverage. I ordered the one with honey and almond..shame on me for not remembering the name, something Bee. Okay, OMG first the coffee itself is fabulous. Absolutely no bitterness and so smooth. I opted for iced. I heard her teaching the new barista to melt the honey first and so on. He made me the best latte I've had in quite a while. She wasn't kidding about not being overly sweet. The companionship between the honey and coffee ā are a coffee lovers dream. Now, for me to go here before work, I'd need to leave home, which is Melrose, much earlier, to be able to go here and make it to work on time. I'm telling anyone reading this, that from the service to the exceptional products, I'll be coming here a few times a week. This is a must try for my group of coffee snobsš©· out there. Also, praise to the owner who showed incredible patience while teaching the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad the pleasure of visiting this location yesterday and was so impressed. The coffee was one of the best I have ever had and I have had a LOT of coffee. They get the beans from a local company in western MA that also supports missions to help the community and employ people in need. The company Breaking grounds was patient, kind and very accommodating to my new diet restrictions. They offered to make me something off menu to enjoy a good innovative veggy sandwich with pesto grilled and was so simple yet so delish. I had the maple oat milk hot late and it was perfection. Ten, froth, flavor and size it was so good. I came here to support a local organization that is important to my family and was impressed by management, staff service, selections of food great menu and options. I canāt wait to go back. Everything was so good I had it all so quickly I got no pics. I actually stopped to smell the roses here and just unplug and enjoy not sure I have ever really done that before but it was beyond a perfect experience. Manager was so patient and kind to her workers and sharing great training tips with her staff. Was very pleasant experience and I canāt...
Read moreNice little café in my neighborhood. The shop is colorful, staff pleasant, and has a artistic/comfortable feel with the basic handmade stools, benches, and tables. This place has board games, and feels like a hangout.
It was nice to get a real macchiato, bold and delicious. I cracked up when the guy started explaining it to me, that it wasn't the same that you get at Dunkin Donuts. I can see why he needs to explain that though. There was also a turkey sandwich on cranberry foccacia bread. Oh my was it good!
Enjoyed my stop here, and would like to come back...
