They don't mess around here at Sugar Cane. Everything was prepared and made with skill and love. From the crispy and tender Aromatic Beef, the smoky Lo Mein, to the General Gao's Chicken and all the appetizers, especially the Beef Teriyaki and Crab Rangoon, you can tell the chef behind all of these knows exactly what they're doing. Look no further than the best Chinese takeout in Peabody. Update (04/29/25) Tried the Vermicelli Bowl with Spring Rolls. It is absolutely divine. Especially the spring rolls. Delicate, crunchy and with maximum flavor. Every bite is fresh with quality ingredients right down to the Scorpion Cocktail. The smokiness from the "breath of the wok" (Wok Hei) is prominent in every dish, making it so appetizing and mouth-watering. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. I can't wait to come back and try more. Delicious!

The most consistently delicious Vietnamese and Chinese food in the north shore. My wife and I have been coming here for almost a decade and we are always well taken care of and always have very tasty food. We moved 40 minutes away and still make the trip when we're craving Asian food. Our favorites for appetizers are the house steamed dumplings, beef teriyaki, and crab rangoons. For entrees the crispy aromatic beef, kho salmon, and beef pho are the best I've had in Massachusetts.

Today I’ve visited Sugarcane for the first time. Many of reviews have recommended their house special pho and I decided to go with it. I definitely liked noodles and crispy veggies as well as slices of beef, but the broth itself was rather fatty, completely bland and had a funky smell as if it was made from not so fresh products. My husband had also ordered a soup from the specials menu and he noticed the same thing.

DO NOT COME HEREEEEE!!!!! I ordered Christmas eve dinner for my family. When I went online, Sugar cane was offering online ordering. We ordered online, paid for the food and got a confirmation number stating our food would be ready in 20 minutes ! We were excited because we called Sugar cane 40 times and they did not answer, in fact they kept picking up the phone and hanging up. When we arrived to pick up the food, they stated they had no idea where we ordered, where our food was or where our money went. They said that even though it was on their website, it has nothing to do with them. After arguing back and forth, the owner KEVIN finally came out and said this is not his issue and to have a great night. I showed him the evidence of his website offering online service and the confirmation number and it did not matter to him. He stated this happens ALL THE TIME and that it’s illegal but he was not willing to fix it even though it’s tarnishing his reputation. He did not offer any advice, a phone number to call or any courtesy. I will never spend another dollar on the establishment as they do not practice customer service or common courtesy. They are running an illegal scam and stealing peoples credit card information as now I have been hacked by his same company that did the online ordering. This has become a huge mess with the police, the bank and Sugar Canes owner and illegal activities. I’m VERY UPSET AND...

I ordered for takeout so I won’t rate the atmosphere. I ordered a pu-pu platter for 2, spring rolls and a large house special pho and a seafood pho… Absolutely horrible. The broth they use is boxed vegetable broth in BOTH pho bowls. There wasn’t even a little bit of oil in the broth… it lacked seasoning, flavor, and aroma. (I’m assuming that this restaurant is just white washed in order to serve the demographic that it’s in, that’s the only excuse I can possibly come up with.)I know how to make both pho & kathiew so trust me on this.. This place is just good to order the Chinese plates. But the viet cuisine? No. Hell to the nah. They couldn’t even get the peanut sauce for the spring rolls right. Smh. Wasted $96 for trash food. Next time I’ll just stop being lazy and either make it myself or drive all the way to Lowell or Lynn for some AUTHENTIC delicious South East Asian food....
