A Joyful Dining Experience at Petrillo’s Italian Kitchen
Before visiting Petrillo’s Italian Kitchen in Peabody, my wife and I had heard glowing reviews from friends. After our first meal there, we can confidently say the experience exceeded all expectations—and then some.
And I do mean experience. Petrillo’s charm is evident the moment you walk into its inviting dining room. We were warmly welcomed by the gracious owner, Linda, whose genuine smile and kind demeanor set the perfect tone for a memorable evening.
Our appetizers were outstanding across the board, with the fried calamari emerging as a particular favorite of mine—crisp, tender, and full of flavor. Among our party of four, one guest proclaimed the Veal Marsala the best he’d ever had. My Pollo Parmigiana was equally impressive—perfectly cooked and richly satisfying.
Service was another highlight. If you have the chance, ask for “Gi-Gi.” She’s the epitome of professional—warm, attentive, and blessed with impeccable timing. Her presence added a wonderful personal touch to our meal.
A final word on portion sizes: generous doesn’t begin to cover it. Petrillo’s delivers tremendous value, pairing exceptional quality with servings large enough to satisfy even the heartiest appetites.
In short, Petrillo’s doesn’t just serve up great food—it delivers joy, warmth, and a true sense of hospitality. We’ll...
Read moreWell.....Linda, Dom, and Mike are always the most welcoming of people to begin with, but during the Christmas season even more so. I just don't know how they ramp up , make so much food for everyone who comes to their restaurant, which is to die for, and remain calm and pleasant the whole way. What it tells me and my family is that they love what they do, and we are all better off for it. My family had a fairly simple order as we are not that large a group. Paula, took my order and followed up multiple times to ensure it was correct and on time. Mike and Dom worked with my son during the pickup and it was as smooth as possible considering the volume of food produced and to be ready for all the remaining customers. As for the food, well if you have been to Petrillos before you know what a luxury to expect, if not you need to go! We odered a medium tray of the Shrimp Scampi with wine and Garlic, as well as an extra large Fusilli Pomodoro. I am not sure which of these two were better, they were extremely tasty, the shrimp was tender, the Fusilli was home made.....I can just go on and on, but I will leave it up to you all. Make a trip, and when you do you will want them all to cater an event for you as well. It just does not get any...
Read moreUm...This place is incredible! After finding Petrillo's, I've pretty much given up on other sit-down Italian restaurants. No one else can compare. They far exceed all competitors in terms of food quality, but also in regards to price!
Let me run through my favorite dishes:
Veal Saltimbocca: Best ever...by far! I strongly recommend opting for Potato/Veg rather than pasta - the sauce for this dish is gold and compliments the potato/veg far better than it does the pasta. Incredibly, this dish will run you less than $20.
Spaghetti Carbonara: Best ever!
Pasta Bolegnese / Eggplant Rolantini: These two separate dishes are my mother's all-time favorites. Trust her opinion in regards to the Bolegnese - she eats allot of it.
The chicken parm sub is also fantastic - tons of chicken. Additionally, I love the rotating select of pizza slices available to go. My favorites are the chicken parm pizza and, especially, the Sicilian.
So many of the dishes offered by Petrillo's are the best I've ever had. Furthermore, many of these dishes could easily sell for $10 more. I don't know how they do it, but I'm so thankful that they do. A...
