It wasn't so much that the food was very barely mediocre, but I'll get to that in a moment. It was the issue with online ordering, which the owner was aware of, but still let me pay for what I thought I was getting when he knew that it was wrong! I ordered pickup at 7:15 pm, arrived 30 mins later and was told they were waiting on my garlic Parmesan fries. Good, they'll be fresh! I ordered the fried chicken & garlic Parm fries and a Greek salad = about $16. There was a man sitting in the waiting area beside me, who I later learned was the owner. My order came out within 2 minutes and the guy behind the counter said it again, "Here are your garlic Parm fries." As I was walking out, I noticed they felt extremely light, so I opened the carton. The pic above is how they came. I went back in and told them that I ordered the chicken topped fries and the cashier said my order was for garlic parm fries. I pulled up my order and showed them, which they were well aware that they were in the wrong, but feigned ignorance. Also, there aren't even any garlic parm fries w/ online ordering, only grilled or fried chicken garlic parm fries. I showed them the fries they sold me and stated, "I just paid $7 for these!?!" (I put a pen by the fries in the pic for a size reference). That's when the owner, who was sitting about 4 ft away the entire time, decided to speak up. He said that there's an issue with online ordering and they have no way of knowing if you ordered chicken or not. He said, "We can put some chicken on top of it, but it'll take 15 minutes to cook." He said this twice and emphasized the 15 minutes both times as I was suggesting they address the ordering issue to avoid disappointing customers. He said, "Well, I've mentioned it, but those are hardly ever ordered, so I guess they haven't gotten around to fixing it." Yes, he was very blase about it, but what made me know right then and there that I would not ever be coming back, was the fact that he knew there was an issue, that there aren't garlic parm fries on the online ordering menu, only ones with fried chicken or grilled chicken, yet he let me pay for chicken & fries knowing it wasn't what was offered online and let me walk out of the store with this little handful of fries which, after I asked for my money back for the fries, they did at least let me keep them since I still bought the salad. So, now to the quality of the food... the fries are like the seasoned fries you get in the frozen food section of the grocery store and had the texture of being air fried, which is an option that showed online. I did not select that option because I don't like dry fries. As you can see from the pics, they sprinkled a little bit of parm on them, which was low quality because there was no flavor to the cheese, but also there was just so little, it was hard to tell. I used to work with Parmegiano Reggiano, so I know the difference between real parm and edible saw dust. I get it, gotta keep costs down, but I see why they don't sell many. Here's an idea... remove them from the menu if you can't do them right. The garlic part of the garlic parm fries was one of those sauce cups of garlic butter on the side like you get at Papa John's. The Greek salad was a good size for the $, and the lettuce was crisp, but the olives are Greek black olives, not kalamata olives, and they put green bell peppers in there, which was not in the menu description. No biggie, I picked them out as that's not what I want on a Greek salad. It was topped with artichokes, which were not marinated with any herbs, only oil, so they were quite bland. The dressing was Ken's dressing packet, which is another low quality, cheap item. I was expecting a restaurant dressing. The employees were nice though, but it was obvious they'd had this issue before because of their wording when refunding me for the fries. If they wouldn't have tried to deceive me, I might've considered giving them 2 stars for the food. Also, from my own experience and now reading other 1 star reviews, they just make excuses rather than being...
Read moreThis used to be my favorite pizza spot, but quite honestly I will never order from here again.
Very recently we have ordered our usual order, a belly buster buck's deluxe. We paid online but made a note that we would be tipping in cash. In hindsight we wonder if this is what it all about.
We placed our order at 6 PM on Sunday. We heard nothing back. At 7.45 PM we called to check if everything is OK. We got told that unfortunately it was a very very busy day but that our order was actually out with the delivery driver. Understandable, these kind of things happen.
Except that even at 8.30, there was no sign of the delivery guy. The store closes at 8.30 and had started to rain heavily and quite honestly, at 8.40 we just assumed we were just out of luck. We had waited in the garage and before we went in we checked the porch just in case. There was nothing there.
Que the following morning, I go to pick up my Amazon package and it just happens to be sitting on a wet and soggy pizza box that was now gathering ants. Not cool.
I do not know many people that would be still calm and composed when in this situation. We have gone to speak to the employees, quite honestly peeved. We were told we were not going to get refunded because the pizza was in fact delivered and that they had apparently tried to call 3 times. Our online account had been updated in the past with our current phone number as we have received messages from them before. The phone number they called was one we had not had for the past 3+ years, and quite honestly I am not sure where it came from. That and as I said we had called at 7.45 from our current phone number and they recognized the phone number?
Either way, although I understand that food service personnel are under a lot of stress, I do not think I will ever order...
Read moreThis place does not deserve any stars and don't have them deliver to you cause they will leave your food out in the yard especially if you prepay. Who leaves your food out in the yard for bugs to crawl on for 30 minutes and you can't knock on the door and give it to people and then the manager wants to act like that's ok and not give money back or correct the problem. I will be contacting the health department - also added a tip in just to get a cold , bug crawling pizza - hope that person enjoyed . I've been a manager in the restaurant buissness for 20 years and all your doing is making up excuses. It's called delivery for a reason. The gate was not tied or locked and there is 2 openings to get in. If the girl is scared then she don't need to deliver and if your going to make excuses then you don t need to be a owner - manager or even have a delivery service. She has ordered good from y'all for a year and they always find a way to let her know the food is there - knocking on the door - blowing a horn - there are no words on how this is NOT good customer service . And I can't believe that you would even say what are you suppose to do but leave leave it on a tree stump cause no one answered the phone? I hope you don't leave no one else's good outside on a stump cause your scared or no one answered the phone . You should be saying your sorry and that you will fix the problem and give me my money back . And you were hung up on cause you were telling her what to do with her phone instead...
