Disappointing Holiday Experience
We visited this restaurant the day before Christmas Eve. I’ve been here before and had great service, but this time they fell short. If you’re considering going during the holidays, be cautious—they seemed overwhelmed. While the manager/owner was excellent and genuinely tried to make things right, the kitchen really let us down. Here's what happened:
We arrived as a group of 10 and noticed there was room in the restaurant. They seated right away slightly apart, but we didn’t mind—it seemed like they were trying to accommodate us. We placed our orders quickly, but the food didn’t arrive until 50 minutes later, and even then, it came out in three separate waves.
First wave: Our daughter received her fish and chips, but it came without the fries.
Second wave (5 minutes later): Four more meals arrived.
Third wave (another 5 minutes later): The remaining meals came out.
One of my daughters, who has celiac disease, specifically requested salmon without bread. Unfortunately, it was served on bread. Since we had already been waiting so long, she didn’t want to send it back and risk waiting another 30 minutes. She just cut off the contaminated part and made do.
My meal never arrived. When I asked the server, she discovered the kitchen had lost the ticket and thrown it away. At that point, I gave up—I didn’t want to wait any longer for a Caesar salad when we’d already been waiting nearly an hour.
Other mistakes included missing bacon on loaded potatoes and a BLT. These errors piled up, making the experience worse. The server was kind and worked hard, but she seemed too busy and lacked the authority to fix the situation. She also forgot to check on drinks after a while, and I never received a refill on my root beer—not that I cared by that point.
The manager offered to remove one meal (the salmon) from the bill and, of course, didn’t charge for my missing Caesar salad. He also gave us breakfast gift certificates, which was thoughtful, but I would have preferred for the experience to simply go smoother. With so many mistakes—four incorrect orders and one completely missing—I left feeling frustrated.
I appreciate the manager’s effort to make things right, but it wasn’t enough to outweigh the long wait, incorrect orders, and lack of follow-up. It left a bad impression during what should have been a cheerful family outing. I’m unsure if we’ll give them...

So to start off me and my wife decided to give this place a try for a date night away from our kids, we started off with a app of loaded tots so about half way into it we noticed a booger on the bacon then noticed in several more spots 😷 when the manager came to us she told us the guacamole is right next to the cheese… she came back at the end and told us she had no idea we’re it came from and that the guac is not next to it and has no idea what it was 😂 btw they brought me out a frozen burger that was completely burnt away. So at the end I paid for my wife’s 10 wings no side and no drink that ended up being 16.31 for just 10 flat wings which were over cooked for sure. When asked about the food to manager she told me the cook is not good tonight 😂 she ended up giving us a card for a free entre and a free kids meal I threw them away as I walked out the door I feel like this will do more justice to the next person to not make a mistake to go to such a unsanitary overpriced establishment as such . I would like for the OWNER not the manager to reach out to me thank you and I hope something changes horrible first experience at this...
Read moreWe have experienced issues in the past, but today's visit was particularly disappointing. It was unacceptable to witness the owner being dismissive, rude, and unrepentant. As regular customers for over 15 years, this last experience will be our last.
We sat down for a total of 37 minutes before ordering the breakfast special, fish and chips, and a Buffalo chicken sandwich. During that time, we observed two other tables receive their food, with one table nearly finished. All we had received was my son's salad and a drink. To add insult to injury, most other managers would have comped the drink and salad, yet the owner was more than happy to bill us for them.
The owner claimed that the Buffalo chicken sandwich takes longer to prepare, yet my wife has ordered this dish before without such delays. Ultimately, we decided to leave and went to another restaurant down the street, where we received our food...
