“The Zaxby’s Letdown: A Culinary Tragedy”
In a world where hunger reigns supreme and families seek solace in the promise of golden tenders, crispy fries, and mouthwatering sauces, one family dared to dream. They journeyed to Zaxby’s, armed with the hope of a feast that would unite hearts and fill bellies. But what they encountered was a tale of heartbreak, disappointment, and squandered potential.
It all began with a $90 order, a king’s ransom paid for a banquet of fried delights. But as the family unwrapped their treasures, the truth hit like a plot twist no one saw coming: cold food, as lifeless as a villain’s stare, robbed of the warmth and joy it was meant to deliver. The fries, once imagined as crisp and golden, sat limp and uninspired. The tenders? A shadow of their former selves—barely lukewarm, robbed of the crunch that legends are made of.
Yet the tragedy did not end there. The service, a key player in this cinematic disaster, was an antagonist of epic proportions. Eyes rolled, patience was tested, and kindness was nowhere to be found. It was as if each employee had been cast in a role they resented, delivering lines of apathy and disdain. No hero emerged to save the day, no triumphant manager to redeem the experience.
As the credits rolled on this ill-fated meal, the family sat in silence, reflecting on a journey that could have been magnificent but was instead a cautionary tale. $90 worth of food, served cold, without care or conviction.
Verdict: A one-star experience with all the drama but none of the satisfaction. Would this family return? Only time—and the hope of a sequel with better...
Read moreI’m not sure I can list all of the things that were wrong when we had lunch at this restaurant. We purchased our meals. We informed the young lady at the counter that one of the two drink machines was out of ice and that the ketchup dispenser was empty. Neither of these problems had been remedied when we left 35 minutes later after choking down our meal. When I ask for sauce for dipping the chicken fingers (and you will need sauce because the chicken fingers are dry) I was informed that there was an extra charge. Yep, that’s right they have a big sign encouraging you to try their different sauces but they charge you for each container. And, the sauces are provided in a tiny little container that holds about 2 teaspoons of sauce. That said, I broke out my wallet and got samples of the different sauces. Each and every one of those sauces was terrible. And, last but not least, when we asked for ketchup (remember we had to ask for ketchup because they were too lazy to refill the ketchup dispenser) the ketchup provided was in tiny individual packets labeled Zaxby’s and it was truly awful. So, don’t waste your time or money on...
Read moreEdit: I just wanted to add that my final wait time in the drive thru for this visit was 52 minutes.
Good food, but slow service and ridiculously long wait times. Based on my experiences from multiple visits over the course of two plus years, I recommend circling the building to count the cars in line before fully committing, as the drive thru usually takes a minimum of 3-5 minutes per vehicle. The good news is that they are so slow, multiple customers usually get tired of waiting and leave the line before ordering, keeping the overall wait under an hour. The long wait also gives you plenty of time to write a review of the restaurant and proofread it multiple times before posting. Also, I should mention that the gentleman four vehicles ahead of me has been waiting to order for 11 minutes. I don't know what else to say here, but I'm still only halfway through the line and out of things to add to this review. Best of luck and see you on the other side....
