I had the privilege to attend the soft opening to this establishment. Normally I do not write reviews because I just don't make the time to but after eating here I felt compelled. The atmosphere was great. From the seating arrangement to the moral of the staff, it was a genuinely pleasant place to enjoy a delicious meal. The service was great and I had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Marcus. He was super friendly and easy to talk to and made sure all of our needs were attended to. He was wonderful.
On the food side I did order the Roman Salad as an appetizer and it was one of the freshest salads I've had in a good while. All the way to the house made ranch dressing. In my own opinion I will say it is better than wing stop house dressing and theirs is really good.
For my entree I ordered the Altona Double Classic Burger. Ordered medium done and it was perfect. Had all the normal toppings and everything and it was well put together. Not super obnoxious as far as size and shape. The chef took care of that burger like he was making it for himself, I could tell. It was just amazing.
To end this review, I encourage everyone and their mothers to come here and enjoy a very delicious burger and I will trust anything else on the...
Read moreIMO 5 stars should be reserved for a top tier experience . Unfortunately, this wasn't it. The facility is nice, new and clean. But I wasn't feeling the "ambience" as others mention. It's just a restaurant with a cement floor and cheap decor. You order at the counter but they do bring the food to you. I had the salmon which was slightly dry but not overly so, and under seasoned in my opinion. My GF had the classic burger on lettuce. It was somewhere near a smash burger but not quite and tasted slightly off. Neither of us were fans. For sides we had the roasted veggies, which we were excited to try since they looked good on other reviews and pictures. They too were way under seasoned and not worth finishing. Also had the truffle fries which were underwhelming. More like fries with a mayonnaise sauce and what seemed more like grated Parmesan cheese on top. I couldn't taste the truffle. We didn't have any beer because we were going to a local brewery after. Not sure what is beer garden about it other than they have some beer on draught. We won't be returning. Too many other...
Read moreThis place is a whole vibe. I went for a stroll with my girlfriend/wife – lucky me, I’ve got a two-for-one deal – and our security team (a 5 lbs. and a 14 lbs. dogs). The thought of walking all the way to Altona was like a motivational speech from a burger and a cold beer on a 73-degree day.
The atmosphere? Spot on. The design of Altona is like someone carefully curated it with Pinterest boards and a touch of magic.
We tried both the sweet potato and regular fries. Both were perfectly toasted to golden perfection. As for the burger, let me tell you, it was chef's kiss exquisite. The bun was basically homemade—no store-bought nonsense here. Seriously, even the ketchup tasted different—like it was made by ketchup connoisseurs. The burger and its side were the perfect size, just enough to leave us feeling like satisfied campers walking back home ~ 1.4 mile.
So, welcome to Peachtree Corners, Altona! Keep up the great work. You've officially earned a...
