I hosted my toddler’s Frozen-themed 3rd birthday party at Sweet Izzy’s, and it was absolutely wonderful! As a full-time wedding planner, I’m used to handling all the details, so it was such a treat to simply show up and have everything beautifully done, perfectly matching the Frozen theme. Sweet Izzy’s took care of all the décor and little details, leaving me free to enjoy the party.
We rented the entire space, though the shop remained open for takeout orders. With about 35 adults and children, it did get a bit tight at times, especially when larger families came in for ice cream—but given everything Sweet Izzy’s did for the party, I truly can’t complain. I completely understand the need to stay open for business.
I brought in cake and cupcakes—Sweet Izzy’s handled the rest! Rachel and her team went above and beyond, creating the cutest Frozen-themed sundae bar with labels like "Olaf's M&Ms" and "Anna's Oreos." The kids had so much fun playing "Pin the Nose on Olaf," and Sweet Izzy’s also put together an adorable craft where they built their own Olaf using cotton balls, sticks, and cutouts. We also booked an Elsa character to stop by, read books, and take pictures with the kids, which added an extra touch of magic to the day.
One of the sweetest surprises was that Sweet Izzy’s gave the birthday girl a special gift which included a Squishmallow! She absolutely loves it and has been sleeping with it every night. It was such a thoughtful touch.

Read moreSadly, Sweet Izzy’s has been a letdown every time I’ve visited. They’re constantly out of items—whether it’s ice cream flavors, toppings, or even cones. It’s not just occasionally… it’s every time.
To make matters worse, their equipment always seems to be broken, which means even more of the menu is unavailable. The whole place feels really unorganized.
The staff don’t seem properly trained and often look unsure of what to do. Service is slow and inconsistent, and no one seems to be in charge.
And let’s talk about the pricing—it’s all over the place. I’ve been charged different amounts for the same order on different days, with no clear explanation.

Read moreI really want to love this place. It is so needed in Chapin! But, they haven’t hit their groove yet. The hours are very inconsistent and they add and change services all the time. Not to mention, the customer service is not great. On my last visit, several customers entered at once and the line was backing up. Instead of stopping her preparations to leave, the owner? manager? only adult? started vacuuming! Vacuuming around people eating food is not super enjoyable, and it was not at all helpful to her staff that was clearly struggling.
