The Coffee Shelf — Restaurant in Chapin

Coffee and pastries are so good, but for some odd reason every time I go into these place I don’t get treated the same as the customers before me... example I hand my money and receive my change on the counter( I still tip) then today I hand my card to pay and receive it back smacked on the counter in front of me (I still tip!)... the lady I’m front of me order the same thing I ordered and was asked if she wanted whipped cream but when I ordered I wasn’t asked.. no big deal, but I did want it and didn’t get any. Not sure if it was because of my skin color or what but the owner always acts this way when I come in. My friend and I tested it out to see if he would do the same to her seeing that her skin color was like his and guess what?? He handed her card to her and not smacked on the counter... it’s just the little things but I don’t feel welcome when I come here... great coffee and pastries though I just wish that I could receive the...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Bright Start to My Morning Thanks to Laken!

I stopped by the coffee shop this morning and had the pleasure of being helped by Laken at the register. Right away, her energy stood out—friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. Even with a busy line behind me, she didn’t rush the interaction. She asked about my day, offered great drink suggestions, and somehow made a routine coffee stop feel personal.

My morning before this had been terrible and Laken went out of her way to change the course of my day. She seemed so caring despite only meeting me for the first time! When I go back to this coffee shop I will ask for Laken!!! I have never been cared for this greatly in customer service and I will forever remember this first instance at The Coffee Shelf. Thank you Laken!!!!

We were driving through town to go to my sisters graduation in Savannah, GA. We found this on our route and saw it had great reviews. We were not disappointed. They have really good frappes and even make a delicious peanut butter mocha frappe. You do not see that all the time. They also have reading material, WiFi and plenty of comfortable lounging space to hang out, work, read, recharge your electronics, study, or visit with friends.

In addition I somehow left a very sentimental sweater there by accident. Luckily when I called they had it. I had no way of getting back to the location and asked the owner if there was any way he could have it mailed to me. Within 10 minutes he was at a ups mailing it to me. This level of hospitality is exceptional. He did not have to do this. I appreciated this so much. Please take the time to visit this location and get to know the kind staff and taste the delicious coffee...
