Wow, what a nightmare! If you wanted to do a case study in team failure and lack of leadership, this would be a perfect example. I have eaten here twice before and had a fairly decent experience, but this trip ruined it for me. As other one star reviewers have noted, the service ranges from mediocre to downright awful. My party, seven of us, went here on a Friday evening, and expected a wait due to weekend demand. We waited almost an hour while they continually seated other people ahead of us. Our "table" was held up due to the previous diners kids playing in the game room after they had finished their meal. When we are finally seated, the waitress comes by to take our drink orders, and somewhat promptly brings them back with the chips and salsa. We place our order, and are told "the kitchen is running a little slow" so it may take a little longer for our food to arrive. During the next 45 minutes we are waiting for the food, we sit with empty drinks and no wait staff in site, except to attend to other tables. Food finally shows up, but wait, it is only 3 meals out of the seven, with much of it cold. For some reason they also decided to bring out the rice/beans/pico de gallo that come with the two fajita plates that were ordered, but not the actual fajitas. We sit there for ten more minutes and finally manage to flag down a different waiter and ask where the rest of our food is. He runs back to the kitchen bringing random plates of half meals while we keep explaining we are still missing tortillas, chimichangas, and fajitas. It would have been comical if it hadn't been so aggravating. During this entire time our original waitress was not to be seen, and after "most" of the food was brought out, she saunters over to the table to ask if we need anything else. At this point when everybody else was almost done eating, and had been bussing our own table to get rid of empty plates, I STILL had not been served my fajitas. I wasn't even going to bother, but then we noticed the manager lounging in the corner by the bar having a friendly conversation with somebody. We walked over to him and explained we we were still missing food, so he hustles back to the kitchen to bring out a plate of fajitas with burned shrimp brochette, no pepper butter, and again no tortillas. As he is walking off, we once again tell him we don't have all our food, so after a few more trips to the kitchen, everything is finally brought out. As he brings over the last bit of food, we tell him to bring us to go boxes, as most of our party has finished eating already. The sad part is that there was no apology, no excuses, just "this is the way it is sorry if you don't like it" attitude. I will say that in many years of dining out, this is going to hold the top spot as one of the worst dining experiences I have suffered through. I can only imagine what was going on in the kitchen if it was this chaotic in the dining area. Think twice before patronizing this...
Read moreAfter a long day at work, baseball practice & a Meet the Teacher event at the middle school, my family & I just wanted some good food (& a margarita for me), but we made the mistake of choosing Iguanas Ranas!
We were seated right away, ordered right away, I drank TWO margaritas and we watched a good half of the Texans game, but we NEVER received our food!!! We were on our third bowl of chips & salsa when my boys finally received their cold quesadillas and we're told my husband's and mine was supposably "coming shortly" well.... I continued to notice people around us who had arrived after us were fed and leaving, the nice chip guy even kept asking us if we wanted more salsa and chips- then finally, lo and behold the manager comes around, but by this point we just politely ask to cancel our order! The waitress at that very moment, happens to walk up behind the manager with my husband's meal, but not mine (mind you, I ordered an appetizer) so still, we cancel. Not a big deal, until the manager and waitress made matters worse! They both walk away upset as if we were at fault, when in reality- we should of been the ones upset since we are STILL at this point hungry & tired! Then neither one of them bring us our ticket- they simply DISAPPEAR, we had to proceed to the host station to pay our ticket!
Needless to say, we paid Iguanas Ranas for unacceptable service this evening and here I am now- eating a slice of pizza we picked up on the way home!!
I advise that if you're thinking of stopping into this establishment, DON'T! Keep going!! You'll find better service within miles down both...
Read moreMy cousin and I decided to try this location tonight because we were in the area. We’ve been to the Seabrook location a lot as I live very close to it, so we decided to give this location a try. We were immediately seated in an isolated booth right behind the host. A girl came and took our drink order. She brought out our drinks and said our waiter would be right with us. While we were waiting, another woman came and brought us a bowl of chips and salsa. We sat there waiting for a total of 30 MINUTES. We didn’t receive ANY service besides repeatedly being brought bowls of chips and salsa. About 15 mins in, the host came up to our table and asked us if we had been helped yet. We told him no. He said "Your waiter will be with y’all shortly. I’m sorry about that." Then he just went back to his podium. So we waited another 15 mins. Two of the waitresses working literally glanced at us a few times and then just continued with whatever they were doing that was more important. The bartender also glanced over at us a few times and did nothing. After 30 mins, and finishing 3 bowls of chips and salsa + our drinks, we just up and left. We sat in the car for a minute to see if anyone would notice and come out because we were seated right behind the host. No one even noticed. If you’re wanting an order of neglect with a side of salsa, then this is just the right...
