Riley's Donuts — Restaurant in Pearland

When I see that a place has 5 stars I'm always a little skeptical and cynical. But this place legitimately is a 5 star shop. I'm a donut person and I really dislike Shipley's (too doughy, no taste), and while I love Krispy Kreme a) there's only 1 in the area and b) I like supporting small businesses..so with that said: Riley's has delicious doughnuts and good coffee. I haven't tried their kolaches, but if they're anything like the doughnuts, they're delicious too. Pretty sure the doughnut just melted in my mouth. Pretty sure 3 of them just melted in my mouth.

In addition to the product being great, the people who served it were really very friendly.

I've been here a couple of times for both doughnuts and kolaches, and although I think their plain glazed is just good, their large kolaches is where they shine. I've had their large sausage and cheese kolaches as well as their famous boudin kolaches, and they're SO DELICIOUS. The bread is so soft and moist, the sausage and cheese juicy, and the boudin so flavorful and filling. I haven't tried their other doughnuts since I typically like to compare plain glazed at different shops, but they have the typical variety that you'd find at any other doughnut shop. They shop takes up a corner of a small shopping strip so it's very spacious inside. The staff is very friendly and the shop is clean. ...

In a town where Shipleys is king Riley's must be the prince. I don't hail from here, rather been a vagabond my whole life and I adore a good raised donut. Riley's donuts are light, airy, non-greasy with a beautiful crisp skin. They have just enough variety to keep you happy and croissant sandwiches and rolls. We ordered a standard dozen chocolate and sugar and a specially made egg and cheese croissant (my sis does not eat pork). The owner whipped up her sandwich, even going so far as to season the eggs. It was quite good! Step aside Shipley's I wanna hang with this...
