This place was a HIT!!! My husband and I were in the Bessemer area for a tennis tournament. A friend of mine who lives in Bham told me about this place. So, after our match we gave it a try. Tired but too hungry to pass it up. I ordered the catfish, lemon pepper okra as an appetizer. My sides were collards and mac&cheese. All were 10/10. Mys husband has the rib plate. Those ribs pulled right off the bone. The grisle was even edible. If yall know bbq, when the grisle at the end of the rib is soft and edible those are some well cooked ribs. The Arnold Palmer (tea/lemonade) was addictive. Our waiter even gave us a to go cup. The servings are nice. We took food home. Service was good. We learned they have open Mic and a live band. That was a great compliment to the food. We listened to some great live music and poets. I would suggest calling the restaurant to see if they have a band every Saturday. But the good food will always be there. I pray they keep up the good work snd remain consistent just as they are.Food quality, service and atmosphere was great. Please keep it up. I know that is a challenge in the restaurant industry. I am cheering you on.

Hit Different BBQ and Grill chose the perfect name to describe their food and customer service. They are truly the Chick-fil-A of Highway 31. I ordered the cheesesteak and fries. But I could not resist trying a piece of fried catfish. Both were absolutely amazing!!!! The homemade tartar sauce was very flavorful. the catfish was huge, well seasoned and super crunchy like catfish should be. I topped it off with some mouth watering homemade pound cake. Easter was a phenomenal server. The owner and her son walked around checking on guests, their food quality, and overall visit. It was an awesome A+ experience.

GET IN HERE!! The food is slamming, we talking about chicken that is crispy on the outside and juicy tender meat. Don't get me started on their trimmings/sides, seasoned and cooked to perfection. Just like my Grandmama (rest in peace) cooking, I know her cooking when I taste it. They serve your food hot right on the plate, the sides are stacked high individual bowls. They treat you like a welcomed guest, very attentive. I thoroughly enjoyed everything so much that I had to go back the next day to try their catfish and it was slamming. I am telling you, you will not be disappointed!

I have visited this restaurant on many occasions and have always been satisfied and want to see local owned businesses thrive. Tonight 2/28/2025 we ordered our food for take out, we ordered beverages to consume while we waited, fifteen minutes after ordering our food my drink was given to me and was still waiting on the wife’s drink. Long story short I noticed food brought out from the kitchen and sat on the bar. I assumed since it was placed by the Door Dash pick up that it was someone’s delivery. Thirty minutes after the food was sat on the bar a very weak water down drink was brought to my wife and shortly after her receiving her drink the lady behind the bar called my wife’s name and said our food was ready, keep in mind our food had been sitting on the bar for thirty minutes. With a total of an hour wait time, I understand the food is prepared as it is ordered but please understand my constructive criticism. If you are going to advertise happy hour please have someone there to make the drinks, it wasn’t lack of staff as the young lady standing back there never took her eyes off her phone. It will be awhile before I return and spend right at hundred dollars...

On September 10, 2024, My Sister in Christ took me to this restaurant because we were wanting Brisket because when we Google places it came up stating they served it. However, to our surprise that didn’t and we ended up getting ribs, coleslaw and collard greens. However, both our ribs were tough and not tender. But, the BBq sauce was good. The collard greens weren’t seasoned enough and the macaroni and cheese wasn’t lip smacking at all. Because it didn’t have enough cheese, milk, and also not cooked long enough. The High price lemonade was supposed to larger than a regular drink but when it came to the table it was the same size as a regular drink. Phyllis told us we had to order at the bar but I did see 3 tables whose orders were taken at their table so why did have to sit at the bar to order? I give it 3 stars only because management was very professional, courtesy and very friendly to us. But, the food needs...
