Get the tots...and a pineapple cream slush... I am disappointed in this location. I use the app to order food from Sonic then pick it up from the stall. Why do I do that? I do it because they incentivize me to do it by giving me half priced drinks if I order them through the application. Today I placed my order through the application, or at least attempted to and then was prompted by the application to check in at the stall. When I did that my order in the application cleared and I was required to replace the order through the speaker. That's not that big of a deal. However when I asked why I had to do that, I was told that they had disabled the application because they didn't have slushies and people kept ordering slushies through the application. Now, I don't know why they don't have slushies and I frankly don't care. I do however care that they were unable to give me my half priced drink. It may sound a little petty but if it is petty then it's petty that they attempt to get me to come to their restaurant and order through their app by incentivizing me with a half price drink. So since I am not able to get my half price drink at this location I am no longer incentivised to come to this location and I will not, except periodically to see if they have re-enabled the application. I'll be back as soon as they do. In general, companies these days attempt to start viral marketing campaigns by incentivizing people with little rewards like points or discounts. It amazes me that this company would think that they could have such a campaign and make a big deal about half price drinks and then not be able to deliver. It would be much better if you never had the campaign. It definitely reduces some level of credibility. to be clear I'm not near as upset about not getting the half-price drink as I am by the fact that they lured me there with something they couldn't deliver. Now I just feel like a fool for falling for it. By the way I mentioned the pineapple cream slush in my previous review. Sonic has also removed pineapple from their menu so don't order that or you will be disappointed. I was. Also, my large tots were only 3/4 full, there were no napkins in my bag, and my cherry limeade didn't include the usual cherry. I drive an off white, soft top Miata. If you see me pull up, just say "yes" or "no". I'll be happy to change this review if the condition is resolved...
Read moreI used to love sonic, but this last time I don't think I will be going back anytime soon. I was there on Monday around 4. I ordered 3 corn dogs & strawberry limeade slush. My order was 4.81 I placed it @355 pm, it was a lot of people there during that time so I waited & waited, then I noticed that people that were here before me & after me had left. I was the only one left that I could see that haven't receive my order. So at 425 I called or push the red button. I told the lady that answer that I have been waiting on my order since 4 and now it's 425 everybody have place there order that came before me & after me. I told her I wanted my money back. Then she ask me what did I order. I told her. She said can I hold on. I said yes...I mean I can't leave until I get my money. She came to my car with my money even though I put it on my card..it was more than 4.81. I tried to give it back but she didn't take it. I told her I didn't want her drawer short. She said she had to override and it's ok. Then she apologize because my order was place when someone was getting off work ...I said to myself I guess my order went to outer space when she clocked out. She offered me a drink but I was scared to say yes because I thought I had to wait an hour for someone to bring it. I would have preferred my meal free or a gift card for the next time I decide I want to go there. But none of that happen. Unfortunately I want be back for...
Read moreBefore visiting this Sonic Drive-In I hadn't been to Sonic in more than ten years. I'm usually a five guys or whataburger kind of guy. I would have never dreamed that ten trips around the sun was far too long without the wonderful drive-in experience of Sonic and their delicious food options. My party and I opted to stop by just as a storm rolled into the area. The rain was hard but the ordering screen was perfectly covered to allow for ease of use and dry mittens.
Just before ordering, lightning struck within 100 feet behind our vehicle. An omen? A sign? We decided to push forward and place our orders.
To our confusion, we were unable to process gratuity while purchasing with a card, and later discovered that tipping is only possible when paying with cash. I'm not sure why Sonic does this, but it's probably not worth asking. Regardless, we found some cash amongst ourselves and provided it as a tip.
We took the food home to get out of the storm, just a short drive away. It was fantastic and I decided then that I would return for another cheeseburger soon.
If you're still reading this review about sonic, I don't understand you. But if you're here, now you know that it's worth visiting for a more classic experience and great...
