Pell City Alabama Apparently one of the managers APRIL has a problem with my son & 2 of his friends. She actually told them to leave the inside of the restaurant after they paid to eat there!! Why because she thought they were talking to loud. There Seniors, right after school.... Really?? It's Dairy Queen, not Ruth Chris!! But you have game night there!!! I bet it gets really loud then. Oh and big groups on Sundays, I bet they're really quiet!!! Then had the audacity to tell her son to compose himself...until my son left..really!! My son has no problem with APRILS son.??What did he think he was going to do to my son? (Yeah, your son balled his fists up like he wanted some) you failed to mention that APRIL. Then just because one of my sons friends has a loud vehicle ( in APRILS words...that's his right)they were sitting idle in the parking lot talking to another friend when they were threatened by her yet again saying she was calling the cops if they didn't leave!!!! For what? They was not reeving up the engine. I asked her & she lied. She lied about why she told them to leave inside also. Then like a child she hung up on me. I think this place has been a great addition to Pell City but do not think APRIL or anyone like her with a bad attitude is management quality. My son loves to joke, all teens can get loud, but in reality she doesn't like my son/ She doesn't even know him!!! Pretty much discriminated towards my son & his friends. My son & his friends have every right to be there just as APRILS son does. The teens love that place, as a mother I'm glad he likes to go there. Better than him being at Sonic. BUT also as a mother I refuse to let April treat my son & his friends like dirt!! They came to eat & just chill, Was never there for drama which is the type of service...
Read moreI do not often stop at a Dairy Queen. I like the product and have, over several decades, consumed many milk shakes, sundaes, dip top cones and hamburgers.
On this occasion, I had a craving for a dip top cone while on a long road trip. I spotted a Dairy Queen on the road in Pell City and we stopped.
The restaurant was neat and clean. It was attractive and the person who took the order was friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered a medium tip top cone and my dining companion opted for a sundae.
Both had the full Dairy Queen flavor. The taste was excellent. The dip top cone has great chocolate flavor and licking the ice cream off of the chocolate while it melted was a delightful experience.
I do not know how the Dairy Queen main product is made. The company does not advertises "all natural ingredients," etc .It tastes good. It probably is not good for a diet. As an occasional splurge, it is a treat. It has been a popular staple in America for decades because it tastes good, it is not expensive, and qualifies as a "down...
Read moreClayton must've went to a different DQ or he's family with the owners because "friendly staff" is far from what i would describe this place. I come to visit family in Alabama, haven't seen in a couple of years, i take my 10 and 11 yr old out for ice cream, we go to this particular DQ and from the moment we walked in i knew i had made the worst decision of that (up until then) pretty good day..the staff was using foul language, acted like they didn't care that small children was present, also the attitude was that of them being angry that we decided to come in to eat...no, i will not be back and refuse to be silent...i even hated to give this dump 1 star but i had to before i was able to give this review how on earth does this place have a 4.4 star rating is beyond me...simply appalling! Folks that work there must come to this site and lie on the...
