Chow Time Grill & Buffet is located in a plaza on the intersection of Pembroke Rd. and Flamingo Rd. The restaurant was extremely packed once my kids and I entered, and there were more groups of people coming in. I then realized that it was not only Sunday, it was Easter Sunday. Church service must have ended because the groups of people that were coming in was dressed in their Sunday's best. The charge for the lunch buffet was $12.49. As soon as a table became available, an employee called our number, escorted us to our table, and took our drink order. Then we headed out to the large buffet room maneuvering through the crowds of people (some carrying one plate, others carrying two) deciding on what to eat. I noticed the restaurant was divided into sections that had city names such as Miami, Tampa, and Pembroke over the doorway. Each section accommodated groups as small as four to as large as twelve or more. You can also call for reservations to book large party rooms available for any and all events. Chow Time offers a large variety of dishes that are freshly made and labeled such as Chinese, American, seafood, dessert, sushi, and much more. There's also a Hibachi station, a full salad bar, and a noodle bar. The items I selected was nicely cooked and tasted very good. After eating my fifth plate, my stomach was filled to capacity. This was the first time I actually enjoyed dessert at a buffet restaurant. The glazed chocolate cake and mini blueberry muffins was delicious and moist. The male employee that was waiting our table was friendly and efficient as he came in a timely manner to take away the empty plates and give us fresh refills. I most definitely will return here. Excellent recommendation for ship price.

This place is nasty, dirty and horrible! All the waiters are dirty ,they use the same dirty gloves all the time to bring you the water ,the straws or the soda and with the same dirty gloves clean the floor, pick dirty stuff from the dirty floor and then they refill your soda grabbing your drink with dirty fingers from the inside of your cup. They never changed gloves! I saw a waiter that was scratching his booty cheeks and rubbing his nose with the gloves he was serving the sodas. I encourage you if you go to this place check everything what I am describing here and if you see the same thing that I saw ,take pictures and post a bad review about it. Places like this need to be closed for not being clean. Also, with the same dirty gloves they touch and clean other dirty tables, the waiters take your bill to the front and charge you touching the credit card machine and they do not remove their gloves. All this nasty stuff can spread disease! Furthermore the food bar is not clean. It is always dirty and no one cleans it. Some food taste nasty as well! I took some pictures of the bar food so you can see. I spoke to the manager and told him my complain but he never apologize and told me never come back. This is so ridiculous . Our bill was $70.00 and I barely could eat, me and my family felt so disgusted.

I just finished eating at Chow Time in Pembroke Pines. I won't be going back. The staff is very nice and the place itself is big and roomy. It reminds me of a surf and turf buffet in Vegas in the early 90s, but the food is not worth even the low price of $12.49 for the lunchtime buffet. I gave it my best shot, even eating a few things that I normally don't because of health choices. I really went there for the sushi and Not one of the tried varieties Hit the spot. I was most excited to see Eel. And when I tried it.... it was cold! & very chewy. The potstickers were fairly good as were the spring rolls and egg roll. The sesame chicken was tasty , but the crab rangoon was not. At the end of the 3 small plates I put together to sample a variety of things...I was disappointed. I thought some light desert bites would finish things off in a sweet way.... but the Madelaine was dry, the pound cake dyer. And the sweet knot lacked......sweetness. Everyone has their own opinion and their own particular taste, this one just was not for me. Although I will say my mother loves this place and that's why I gave it a try.

My experience was on a Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. this is a very busy day as people were coming home from church and needed a bite to eat. Of course there were lots of families in attendance. At first the staff was friendly but they seem to be a little overwhelmed because of the amount of people they needed to service. I was a part of a group of 30 people and one waitress was assigned to my entire group. While she was friendly, unfortunately she was more concerned about making sure payments were received than removing used plates from the table, and ensuring that many people got the drink refills they requested. Overall the food was pretty good. There were about 6 rows/food stations, a sushi bar, a salad bar, a hibachi area, and a ice-cream station available. The food did seem to be fresh and was flavorful. I noticed the buffet foods were properly labeled to express what food you were receiving. The clientele there was very family-ish and generally friendly. Because it was a busy day I noticed that many people who came after 1 p.m. had to wait for quite some time to get in to be seated. I could hear the staff calling numbers over a microphone near the lobby. This was to let people know their seats are ready. During my meal I ask for a refill of my drink three times. Each time the waitress said she would bring what I asked for. However, she kept getting distracted and never did get back to me or a few others who were at my table. Instead, she was very occupied with passing out bills and looking for payment. What bothered me the most about this part is that we were not through eating yet and she was already passing out bills, and requesting payment. Many of us had to stop eating to reach into wallets to touch dirty money to make payments. On top of that, once payment was given, we were rushed to leave the facility because they claim they had another large group that needed to be seated. Many people have not necessarily finished eating. Keep in mind this is a all you can eat buffet. Some people in my group came in a little later than others. One of the managers came over to our area and expressed to my group that we had to leave. I thought this was a little unprofessional and tacky. However, the overall experience was not horrible. If you were going to this restaurant in a large group, I recommend you make reservations before hand and clarify any stipulations. I would return here again, but not in a large group. I wouldn't mind trying it in a smaller group of...

I decided to dine alone on Christmas Eve at this location as this is not my first time here. I asked to be seated in a quiet area and proceeded to get my food. After getting my food I sat at the table eating and no one came and asked for my drink order.

The waitresses were walking around and no one bothered to check-in on me, I don't even know what waitress was assigned to the table I was seated at. I tried not to let this bother me and tried to enjoy my food, then a male waiter (tall with bleached blonde hair) came and spat in the garbage (this was after I watched another patron throw up on the plate in a booth in front of me.) I immediately pushed the food to the side. I was done.

I sat there disgusted, but still tried to give the waitress the benefit of doubt and yet still nothing. After a while a waitress came and placed the check on the table and said happy holidays. I waited 30 minutes for her to come back for the check and she never did. It was closing time so I decided to get up and go to the front with the check myself, the waitress then magically appeared and I told her, I didn't need any help from her as she allowed me to sit at the table the whole time without uttering a word to me.

I asked to speak to the manager, the man behind the desk said he was the manager I explained to him how no one came to the table and asked me for my drink order and I also told him while I was eating the waiter came and spit it in the trash which left me disgusted. THE MANAGER said oh, I will tell him later. I was infuriated to say the least. I then asked, so what of the waitress, he then replied maybe it's busy. I was appalled. At that point I felt racially discriminated against. I told them to call the police and walked out of there.

Never again! If I could rate this place 0 stars I would.

There's a buffet on Taft named Teppanyaki go there instead. Don't waste your time at this location, you will be...

I guess it gets super packed during dinner but the wait wasn’t long for seating. Getting food took a while since everyone was blocking the only way to get plates but I was able to get some sushi no problem but the tongs were being used for everything and misplaced and it seems no one comes to clean and replace utensils; I would assume since seafood is like a main priority you don’t want to get sick. I wanted some oysters but they didn’t have so I decided to come back when they did. My boyfriend on the other hand got some food but he didn’t enjoy it because of the environment. (People are just gross... some guy sneezed on top of the ice cream and some food and then other people were sticking their heads inside the ice cream area like that’s just nasty.) Any way I went back for oysters and they looked fresh but I guess the guy didn’t take the time to properly clean them so the oysters looked like they weren’t properly cleansed with debris and sand still inside so that killed it for me when I decided to eat one and it was just odd tasting and I got all the sand that wasn’t visible on top of the oyster. We get the bill and it’s was cheap of course I wouldn’t expect anything else but yeah I’d rather pay double and go get better quality and cleaner food and also where sanitary is a priority. I prefer nori tori... more expensive but better atmosphere and fresh, clean food. Chow time you do have great servers that’s for sure but the kitchen? They don’t seem to care or take pride to make sure their station is clean. And if I saw someone sneezing on top of the ice cream without covering their mouth I would immediately halt that area and replace everything. (Due to me having experience working in restaurants and having the certification on how food should be handled.) but yeah never coming back not...
