I have been going to Donna's almost every week from the day I discovered them three years ago. Today was my last visit. I have had enough of the 'I don't care, rude AF' islander attitude. And before you say anything, I am from Trinidad so I am an expert of that 'lack of customer service' subject area. Two situations in particular resulted in the end of my patronage. 1. I ordered from then on Uber Eats and they completely screwed up my order. I was very specific and they ignored my requests for dark meat vs. white meat, gave me different sodas than what I requested and even left out some items usually included in the order like plantains. 2. I went there today to get dinner and I ordered a large fried chicken. Bring a regular patron, I know that a small and medium fried chicken come with two pieces of chicken. A large, which is substantially more expensive comes with ONE more piece. This my friends is highway robbery at it's finest. I brought it up to the server who mentioned that this was ok because "the pieces were big". I asked for a supervisor/manager and she (who knows me well from my frequent visits, and who in the past has given me four pieces in a large fried chicken) repeats the same. I also at this point bright up my failed Uber Eats order to which she responded "Sorry" and went on about her business. That was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. It is obvious that loyalty and customer service mean nothing to this establishment. It's ok though, because I have other choices and they won't be getting my business ever again. Buy at your own risk. Customer service is...
Read moreWhen you enter the restaurant, you can see the large dining area that has plenty of booth and table seating for the customers. The area where you place your order is towards the back of the restaurant, and you may feel a bit cramped if there are a lot of people waiting in line for their order because the area is small.

I ordered the brown stew chicken lunch special which consisted of rice & peas, fried plantains, and salad. After receiving my food, I quickly sat at a table to eat. Oh man, it was delicious. The rice & peas was cooked to a soft consistency and had a bit of a sweet taste to it like it was cooked in coconut milk. The chicken was stewed nicely, tender, and full of flavor. The plantains was also fried nicely and the salad was freshly prepared with a light vinaigrette. Will surely...

If it wasn’t buffet I would not go there bc it makes me not trust her w my food. I asked her a question once to know if they had something and WOW...let me not ask for anything else! I am certainly understand someone having a bad day, bad moment, bad week....but I usually come once a week and she has been like this now EVERYTIME. Very discouraging
I am adding to my post again and changing my review from 2 stars to one. THAT LADY. she is big and y’all and now has a short haircut (jerry curl top short cut). Omg she is unbearably rude. If i go in and she is there I leave. But today i was rushing and coincidentally she was there assisting a customer who was FURIOUS. The customer was telling her how rude and unprofessional she was and that was absolutely not the way to speak to a customer.
I could not agree more! And there I was thinking I was the only one who thought that this lady was terrible. I have since decided today to no longer go to Donna’s. There are too many other Jamaican food spots in the vicinity to patronize somewhere with such a...
