A couple of years ago my mom said she wanted to do something different for Christmas and said she felt like Peking duck. I looked up best Peking duck in South Florida and came across Gold Marquess. The duck along with with the other dishes I ordered were delicious. Also the interior of this restaurant was beautiful. So I knew I wanted to go back and try their dim sum. Being a New York native, I spent many Chinese New Years in Chinatown eating dim sum. So I was excited to continue this tradition at Gold Marquess. Especially since they would be bringing the food out the traditional way with push carts. However also traditionally the ladies pushing the carts didn't speak much English and couldn't always explain or confirm the various dishes. I ended up resorting to ordering from the menu because it was in English and I could mark exactly what I wanted. The quality of the food was very good. My only complaint is that the food from the dim sum carts just didn't seem that hot. Maybe they cooked it earlier to prepare for the day but with the exception of the food I ordered off the menu, everything tasted lukewarm. I wanted to love this place so much and would try it again for dinner since I know their Chinese food is good. But think next time I want dim sum I will try another restaurant such as China Pavilion which in my opinion has better dim sum.

If you decide to eat Chinese food, spend your money in a place where authentic food is served. Gold Marquess is the only place I have tried that serves good quality Dim Sum, we enjoyed all the food we ordered, as usual we all shared to have a taste of different plates at the same time, we also ordered Fried Wonton, it was wrapped in phyllo dough giving it a perfect crisp, Bbq Pork Buns were also good, for the main course we had the Kung Pao Shrimp which was delicious, great flavor and the vegetables were perfect, the Fried Noodles and Vegetables with brown sauce, it comes with white sauce but we prefer brown, they don’t have an issue with changing it, this was also really good. At the moment they are going through a remodel, half the place is closed so make sure you call ahead, it gets packed really quickly. Recommending.

The good: food was very tasty. The place is clean and spacious. The Bad: service is terrible. I can’t emphasize this enough. Be prepared to wait wait wait. The place was half empty. Since we waited so long I was able to witness the chaos of the wait staff. No organization at all. The food is not worth the wait or the price. We won’t be coming back. If the owner or manager is reading this please fix your wait staff... assign tables to waiters instead of having waiters floating all over the place looking for stuff to do. There is better Chinese/Asian cuisine in Pembroke Pines than this place.

This 280 seat restaurant owned by Kam Ip opened in 2016. It is not your local Chinese take out place, it was designed to be fine dining. In 2017 the Miami New Times crowned Gold Marquees the best dim sum. Dim sum has 60 selections served from 11 to 4 PM daily. After tasting their barbecue pork buns at 1-800-Lucky in Wynwood I can see why they were honored. I have wanted to come here for dim sum for the longest time but found myself in the area at dinner time instead. I wasn't going to pass up a visit so I opted for a take out dinner.

The building has a door marked take out which leads you right up to 20 seat the bar where you can place an order and hang out while it's prepared. The large dining room has high ceilings, lacquered paintings of the zodiac, and gold dragons on the wall.

They have an extensive menu that caters to most Americans taste for Chinese food with the addition of a few Hong Kong specialties. I stuck with the basics, won ton soup, barbecue pork buns, and sweet and sour chicken. The won ton soup had a lot of vegetables like bok choy and snow peas that you don't normally find in it. The pork buns were tender sweet pillows encasing minced barbecue pork. The sweet and sour chicken came with white rice. Tenders pieces of chicken coated in sweet and sour sauce were mixed in with crisp pieces of onion and green peppers. All three items came to $25, more than I usually pay but worth it. This is not the kind of place where you get an entree, fried rice, and egg roll for 10 dollars. In fact they don't even have egg rolls at all. When you are looking to elevate your dining Chinese dining experience try Gold Marquess. I know I'll be back sooner than later for...

Absolutely Horrible Experience – Would Not Recommend I am beyond frustrated with the service and quality at Golden Marquess on Pines Blvd in Miami. I visited on Monday and ordered stir-fried seafood, Golden Marquess fried rice, and chicken & beef lo mein noodles. I didn’t get to eat until the next day, and to my shock, the seafood stir-fry was nothing like what I ordered! There were no shrimp, just rubbery, inedible squid and, worst of all, overcooked scallops.

I immediately called to request a refund, and instead of addressing the issue, they offered to remake the dish or send me to 1800 Lucky. The staff had a guilty look when I picked up the food, so I knew something was wrong from the start. After calling 1800 Lucky, I was told that their menu was different, and the restaurant should have just remade my order.

The manager assured me that they'd notify every shift and manager about the issue and that if I came back, they'd remake the food for me for free. Sounds like a decent resolution, right? WRONG.

Fast forward to today (03/20/2025) at 2:30 PM, I called to confirm if they’d honor the promise. Not only did the employee put me on hold, but I overheard her telling the manager she "didn't care" about my issue and was only concerned about the manager's health. When she came back on the line, of course, they couldn’t remake my order because I didn’t have the receipt or order number.

This is hands down the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The food was bad, and they couldn’t even honor their word. DO NOT waste your time or money at Golden Marquess. They don't care about their customers, and I will NEVER return. P.S the old management was...

I wouldn't normally write a review but to be honest, not sharing my terrible experience would be worse. Never have I actually stood up and walked out of a restaurant because my family and I were never served food or water for 2 hours. We waited an hour to be seated, which we understood because it was busy but we were seated at a table in the middle of the restaurant and the service could not have been worse. We were asked if we would like drinks but then when we tried to order we were told we had to get up and "go to the bar". I think our waitress forgot our order because she couldn't even bring the small soups we ordered to our table after an hour. We never even got water for our table and we asked 4 times until another waiter finally got 4 waters for 6 people because thats all he could hold while the other wait staff stood and watched him. We always thought our food was coming so we stayed and after 2 hours, the waitress still didn't bring out any food and the managers were beyond useless in helping us and all we heard was "Im sorry" with no explanation as to why even our appetizers didn't come out or why we had to wait almost an hour and ask over 4 times for just WATER! We sat there watching as tables around us got their food and people who had sat after us had already been paying their bill before we got our water. Sorry it was a long review but this was the first time I've ever experienced such incompetent service under such horrible management where customers actually leave hungry because their food was never served to them nor were they properly taken care of. Service was so bad that I wouldn't want to go or take the chance of dealing...
