Pizza Palermo (Penn Hills) — Restaurant in Penn Hills

Can I give this place zero stars? Last night, we ordered pizza. Told it was about 45 mins delivery time. 45 mins after we were told the delivery time, we decided it was time to call as we maybe were forgotten. Called and it kept ringing. Decided to call on 4 different phones total and continued to be hung up on with every call. We never got our pizza that night.

Decided to call today to see what they have to say. Asked to speak with the manager and the guy that answered said he was the manager (okkay). Told him what happened, confirmed the number and address. He said “let me tell you what happened. The driver went to your house, knocked, no one answered, so he called the phone and it was turned off so he left.” HAHA. Biggest lie ever. He couldn’t explain himself with why the phones weren’t going through and we have cameras on the house and no one ever came. We were in the living room next to the front door waiting and waiting. I am sure the cook, pizza delivery guy or someone quit and they were left stranded but don’t leave the others who placed orders hanging. He didn’t know what to say because he knew I was right. Worst customer service. I am a manager myself and I am all about the honesty policy and Pizza Palermo didn’t bring that tonight or last night. I will never ever return again and I recommend you don’t either. Good thing we didn’t pay with a credit card. I don’t recommend this place at all! Stay away :)...

Well, the toppings tasted good with a spoon. Kind of watery. Couldn't pick it up or hold a slice because the whole bottom was so wet and slimy, like they literally soaked it in a sink of water or something. Or, they didn't cook it all the way. I paid for a cup of sauce on the side, it was so cold, straight from the cooler. I'm in a hotel with no microwave, so there went my money in the garbage. If you don't serve the sauce on the pizza cold, why would you serve the sauce cup literally ice cold? Delivery fee and all. Wasted. Food isn't cheap people. This had the potential to be a really great pizza! The homemade ranch was warm though!Sadly, don't order the deluxe, they put so much on it it's not edible...unless you have a spoon ready. Pizza is usually dinner at my house on Friday nights. Since I no longer eat pizza I ordered wings for myself. I used the online ordering system so free breadsticks for everyone else in the house (+1 star). The XL pizza with one topping is a good deal and is actually an extra large (+1 star). My wife wasn't happy with the with the amount of the topping, but otherwise pretty good. I ordered the JUMBO cut wings and was highly disappointed. Do not call something JUMBO that isn't. When I hear a jumbo wing I want a good sized chicken wing like from Rick's, Gunny's, La Scola's..etc. Look at the picture what here suggests anything is jumbo? To end on a positive note, the wing dust...
