Candice is very rude and not knowledgeable about the menu or what the restaurant offers and doesn't. She acted as if she was doing me a favor instead of giving the customer service that a paying customer deserves. This was my first time eating here, and I wasn't sure what was available because of finding an ordering menu that was different from their website menu. Candace was of NO HELP and instead was annoyed. I ended up paying $40 for a tiny bowl and a kid's meal. There are little to no veggie options. Greer's actually has a burger bowl that has much more veggie and topping options and way more food for cheaper. I don't understand how they can charge those prices for such little food, have a bad attitude, and expect to stay in business. The other owner, Damien, was very pleasant, and I interacted with him when they were still at The Market when I was with my co-workers. I didn't decide to eat there that day but chose another eatery instead. His customer service is what made me give his business a try, but the wife will run customers away. The kid's meal didn't get eaten because the burger wasn't fully cooked, and the kiddo was not pleased. Ended up going to McD's to get a burger that I knew would be cooked. My bowl was very bland, and the sauce I requested and paid extra for was missing. My first and last time, especially, given the poor customer service.
Owner - Your wife certainly helped me and was rude, but it looks like not understanding what customer service should be is the Grillrilla way. So her being unhelpful wasn't because she didn't know the menu but instead she could care less to help customers, got it. You should go to Big Mike's Crabhouse & Grill(a Hanover staple) and learn what customer service should be. Leave your psuedo-gangster clown persona & attitude in Baltimore. Your wife's personality shouldn't be as ugly as her outside, especially not when dealing with paying customers. I kept my review about the food, and you made it about you & your wife's fragile egos. Obviously, I hit a sore spot since you stole my idea and added a burger bowl to your menu AFTER my original review. I've had Jamaican food many times, and there is nothing Jamaican...
Read moreI wish they were open more. I spotted this place thank goodness and the friendly couple working there were very inviting. I went here multiple times while I was staying in town. A good home cooked option as there aren't a lot of good ones in the area unless franchises. Anwyays, I didn't make it to the sandwich selections, but I got various rice bowls as they were so flavorful. I got the jerk salmon with shrimp (1) time added crabmeat bowl and the jerk chicken with shrimp and whichever protein you get sits atop the yellow rice, drizzled with their inhouse sauce. I enjoyed the meal and even would buy an extra one so I could have it the next day if they happened to be closed.
They have other rice bowl option flavors, burgers, packed sub sandwiches, mac & cheese, etc.
I recommended checking them out when in Hanover, PA. You can also order online from their website if you don't have time to wait or there is a delivery option as well. The food is made to order.
They definitely get busy especially around dinner time but so worth it. Again, check them out you're gonna find something(s) good on that menu!
Also owners said they will be opening another location in Hanover Mall 2022 Be on...
Read moreWe tried this place a few weeks ago after seeing reviews and it definitely lived up to the hype! I got a salmon bowl. There was a generous amount of EVERYTHING. I saw a review say the potions are small for the price but even tho the bowl is sort of small, it was jam packed. Not sure if prices are way lower in Hanover than Gettysburg, but we were shocked how much food we got for such a low price. My husband got the cheesesteak, only thing he said it was a tad on the dry side but we got him some garlic aioli and it was perfect. I could eat that aioli with every meal!!!! It is so good and brought my salmon bowl together perfectly. Crab was seasoned well and the salmon was cooked perfectly. Wait time wasn’t too bad, we had a lot of people in front of us and the food came out piping hot. I don’t mind waiting for damn good food. The mac n cheese was nice and cheesy and fresh. Really good. We also got a smash burger to share and it was perfect. Really great bread and i don’t normally like mushrooms but they worked really well!!! Will be back and...
