Hong Kong — Restaurant in Pennington Gap

Pretty standard Americanized Chinese fare. Nothing out of the ordinary. It taste and is priced exactly as any other small hometown Chinese restaurant, maybe a little pricey.

The restraunt does not yet offer a buffet due to COVID and they have adopted the same exact system you see in every Chinese restaurant lately. You call in your order, walk into a blocked off foyer, pay through a window and thats where you get your food. They weren't even sitting when I visited.

I can't see why no Chinese restaurants have opened up for buffet and most wont even sit you, considering Gattis Pizza, Golden Corral, and others are open completely with the stipulation that social distancing, masks, and provided gloves are used while dipping your food. Other buffets simply dip your food for you. I would say maybe this has something to do with Virginia, but Kentucky and Tennessee Chinese restaurants are operating in the exact same way, if they are open at all.

Nothing special here, just plain old chinese food delivered through a window in a hallway. But if that's what you are looking for, it sure does beat...

Was working in the area and decided to drop in. Absolutely terrible decision, wish i would’ve gotten McDonalds. First off charging for water is crazy. The inside feels like and asian market, i peaked into the kitchen and oh my!!😱😱😱 the rice is super weird and some type of yellow rice, general tsos was ok, eggroll frozen trash, and won ton soup was also horrible. Also ended up being on the toilet for 3 days after eating here. -5/10 stars would only recommend to an enemy. Edit: also received no service while dining in, not even to ask me to fill up my $2 water that was tap water with no ice. No wonder this...

VERY disappointed! I previously loved this restaurant for it's customer service, but today's service was so bad I won't be back. Order was wrong! Correction was attempted. Where I was charged $31.48 for two happy family. Apparently fried rice is a $1.50 each upcharge? Which we were not told when ordering...now the first half of my order is cold and I've spent $70 for a dinner for 4.... Not remotely worth it especially with the attitude on top.

Edited to add: we're missing one of the upcharged rice altogether and duck sauce is dumped all over the...
