I order from them once or twice a week. Every time i order i get cheesesteak platter with mega fries. I also order every Sunday when my family comes in and spend about $80. I called on 11/24and tried to place my order they told me that i could order the mega fries but only if i got it separate instead of paying the extra to get in with the cheesesteak combo. When i asked why i was told that they weren’t going to do special orders. I called today 12/1 trying to place my order which would be the cheesesteak with the mega fries. Surgeo offered asked what kind of soda would i like which i never get soda. He said it came with the combo which is a surprise to me because I’ve ordered the same thing once or twice a week since May and was never offered a soda. When i asked what the piece would be without the soda he said there’s no price difference. I told him that’s fine. I asked him to do the mega fries as i always ask when i place my order and i was told he wasn’t allowed to make the combo like that. I told him that i always get it and he’s said that he wasn’t able to place the order like that. When i asked to speak to the manager her said why and then told me the manager was too busy to come to the phone. People like that make it hard for you to want to support small businesses. I’ve had a business and come from a family that owns business and know that’s not the way you should treat a customer. Especially not someone who orders...
Read moreI usually do not write bad reviews, as every business can have a bad day or bad employees, or for various reasons they are not on their A game, but this place was really bad.
I was traveling thru Penns Grove and decided to stop and grab a bite to eat. While I was at it, I thought I would bring some food back to the home front. I had a slice of pizza and a diet Pepsi while I waited for my main order. I should have cancelled my main order when waiting. The pizza I had when I was there was ok, considering I was hungry, but the ingredients were not fresh. Sipping on the diet Pepsi I noticed the same thing. When I took a look at the bottom of the diet Pepsi can I found that it was way past its expiration date. For those who are not aware, diet soda is only good for 3 months past their stamped date on the bottom and regular soda is 6 months. This was 11 months past expiration. Which brought to light, that these business have not thrown away their food inventory during COVID-19. Same was noticed with my main order, wings and a Stromboli. Nothing was fresh. We took one bite and threw it all away. This may have been a good restaurant prior to this epidemic, I am not sure, as this was my first and last experience with this...
Read moreGreat family owned business. I work behind the scenes and even deliver for them. It’s nothing to do with the late food being cold it’s so popular that the regular customers they have always fill their orders up. Most of them are not even great tippers at all there are half that tip $5 and half that tip $2 to $1 or $0. Please understand when someone delivered your food that as long as I drive for them when they call me in because it’s so busy they do their best to make sure their drivers like me will help compensate the delivery time length n cut it in half then the usual wait time. Don’t forget drivers make money off tips and I don’t mind taking deliveries that aren’t tips to make sure it’s done and dropped off in n fast time. Some drivers will drop off the orders that actually tip good and that’s the fault for the people tipping neg. Add the bad review only if you tip well and still get food delivered late. And instead of posting on here just call Giovanni’s and they will work with you. FYI that first comment should mention that it is a Spanish family that runs an Italian bought shop. Your welcome for real honest review and be nice callling these guys they deal with alot of rude callers also when it...
