Burger King — Restaurant in Pennsauken Township

So on national cheeseburger day (09/18/24) we all went to BK for the free cheeseburger when you buy something for $1. Especially with the cost of living so high, this was greatly appreciated. It would of been. The cashier first left us in the drive through for 20 mins B4 coming out and telling us the speaker is broken. Then when I ordered and asked for the free deal, she had no clue what I meant. Then a manager came to the window and told us he has no idea what we were talking about and never heard of something like that. I showed him my Burger King member portal that says their BK store did accept the deal and he didn't respond. Instead he told me to order something or get out of line bc I'm holding them up now. At that point 2 burgers and a large french frie cost me about $20. What a rip off. When I opened them at home, the cheese was cold and unmelted. The lettuce was 3/4...

Why aren't these businesses held accountable to take the option off their menu if they're not going to have them available. Then they took my money, but didn't have any receipts. According to my google search "Is it illegal not to give a receipt? Businesses must always give you a receipt (or similar proof of purchase) for anything over $75. If they don't, ask for one. place was clean, but it was 7am with little chance for it to be sorry yet. Order taker was average. Polite but with a miserable ppl on her face. The main reason for 2 stars is the screaming child that belonged to an employee in the dining room. As someone who owns small businesses I bring my children to work a lot, but to leave them crying and IGNORING them as they call Mom over and over and over again is absurd.
