I was in drive thru today and ordered a double quarter pounder cheese meal today with LARGE FRIES and a large drink plus a extra double quarter pounder with cheese sandwich. I checked my bag before I left and noticed that the fries were halfway filled. I asked the girl at the window could she fill it up. She hands me back the fries container with the same amount of fries in them. So, I politely said ma'am this is the same amount. I said can you just give me a small fry to make up the difference. To make a long story short the manager comes to the window and says the fries fell out in my bag. I look in the bag no fries at the bottom of the bag. Then I express to her ma'am there are no fries at the bottom of the bag and that all I wanted is a small fry to make up the difference. Then she accused me of squeezing the fry box to make them go down further. Who squeezes a fry box to get more fries? Then, She advises me that she would have to charge me for a small fry. I just spent 16.53 with you and now you want me to spend another 2.00 for a small fry. I said ma'am I'm not paying for a small fry. Then, she proceeds to tell me the funniest thing I have heard in all the times I have ate at McDonald's. She said she weighed the french fries and according to the weight that was all that she could give me. Really, the only restaurants that weigh things are taco bell and chipotle. She could have came with a better excuse than that not to give me any fries. I asked for my money back and went to Taco Bell where they do in fact weigh their food. Needless, to say I will never return to this McDonald's ever again due to bad customer service. The correct response she should have gave is ma'am I apologize for our error let me correct...
Read moreI entered the establishment and waited for quite some time as the employees looked at me and my girlfriend multiple times with no greeting or acknowledgement. Then a rude woman wearing a gray and red jacket asked if we “needed something”. I began to tell her my order and she seemed annoyed. I told her I had 2 separate orders and my girlfriend had one. When I went to tell her my second order she walked away. After waiting for some more time 2 customers walked in and stood near us. They were not greeted and were confused. Eventually the employee with the red and gray jacket took my last order, she allowed me to tell her what I wanted and instead of entering it, she walked away. She came back after a minute and asked for it again while shaking her head “no” as if I was inconvenient. When I got my order (just like the rest) it was given with a “here you go” in a very rude tone. Not once did I hear a thank you or anything. I was trying to be nice the whole time. I was not a problem customer or rude even when I left. When she said “here you go” and started to walk away I asked if she was okay. All I got back was a “mmhhmm” and then I left. (The other customers at this point left without service) the entire thing took so long. I’ve never been in this McDonald’s before tonight and I’ll never go again probably. Wouldn’t recommend the place either. I don’t understand. PS: during her shift she checked her phone and was talking to another employee about the 2 customers that...
Read moreAbsolutely unacceptable. I understand prices go up—but $23 for a 10-piece nugget meal and a Big Mac meal? That alone is pushing the boundaries of what anyone should be expected to pay for fast food. But for that price, you'd think I’d at least receive the bare minimum in return.
No napkins. One straw for two drinks. Fries dumped upside down in the bag like someone was in a rush to clock out. And the Big Mac? I specifically asked for no onions. The receipt confirmed it. The sticker on the box confirmed it. But what was actually in the sandwich? You guessed it—onions.
At this point, it's not even about convenience anymore. It's about basic competence. I know, I know—we're all supposed to "check the bag" before we leave, right? But let me ask this: if we're now expected to pay premium prices for what is clearly subpar, careless service, why should I also be forced to quality-check someone else's job?
In school, we were taught to double-check our work before handing it in. In most professions, that’s called accountability. So why is it too much to expect the same from a fast food kitchen charging sit-down restaurant prices?
If this is the direction things are headed—sky-high prices with sloppy execution—then maybe fast food chains need a hard reset on their priorities. Because right now, the message being sent is loud and clear: We charge more, deliver less, and expect the customer to just deal with...
