Panera Bread — Restaurant in Peoria

I was trying it out as they have the unlimited coffee deal going on. I only made it to two visits before I decided to cancel the subscription. On the first visit I did pick up (they brought my order out to my car) for a coffee and a bagel. It was okay but my the top half of my bagel was burned making it inedible. No biggie! I ate the bottom portion and called it a day. The second time I ordered 3 items for pick up in the cafe (I also ordered a sliced bagel not toasted). I then realized they didn't give me a coffee cup so I asked for one and made my coffee. Went all the way to my car and realized I was missing a chocolate croissant. Not only that but my bagel was also toasted although I hadn't asked for it to be. It was pretty busy so I was pretty nice and understanding about it but 2 out of three items I ordered were not there. Met here today with a group of my friends for lunch. First time at this restaurant for me and some of the others. I had the new toasted roast beef sandwich with chips and iced tea. Never have cared for the tea at any of the Panera Bread restaurants and this one was no different. They need to look to McDonalds for great iced tea. The roast beef on my sandwich was not appetizing to look at. Was very close to looking black in color as shown in photo. My friends even noticed the color. The sandwich was warm and tender, but nothing I would consider special. One of my friends had the chicken salad sandwich. She did state that it was somewhat bland in flavor. Dropping to 1 star DONT ORDER ONLINE. Idk if it's due to staff shortage or what but my experience has been every time I order I online I get there submit the "I'm here" with my spot number and nothing. I always have to call to get someone to do the contactless service. The last time I was there for almost 30 minutes waiting, had to go through the call recording 3 times before I got some one (was disconnected twice) and even after calling that I was there it was almost another 10 minutes of waiting. My order ended up being wrong as well. So dropping this location to 3 stars. The food is Panera fine and the staff is very nice and helpful but online orders don't seem to be the priority.
