Generally I love Ametis but recently ordered for a party. I got 12 pizzas, 6 plain and 6 specialty I also ordered what they called a Sandwich Platter for $79. I asked all the specialty slices be cut into 16 pieces but they were not cut as asked. Also the sandwich "platter" was just 10 individually wrapped sandwiches in a box. Not what I would call a platter these also were not cut into 6 peices as requested. So for my party we were all disappointed at the presentation and the extra work we had to put in to correct and I thought this is what I was paying for. I had gone in a few days prior to ordering to find out of I could get a price break on the pise and the kid at counter told me yes I would but when he rung it up I only got a discount on plain pies but they charged full price for the specialty pies. They did ring up an additonal 5% discount on the order, but geberlaly you get a catering discount for this size order of 10% I asked the kid he said no. So overall the pizza was ok but without the slices being cut smaller my guests were overwhelmed trying to try the pies, as the slices were too large to sample and the whole sandwich platter thing was so misleading we thought we were getting it on a platter pre cut but it was just 10 individually wrapped sandwiches in a box. Not what we expected and when it is called a platter whT would you expect? Maybe the kid mispoke but we were very disappointed having spent so much $ they did not even bother following our directions for the order and we were also disappointed with the discountas it has been much larger with other places in the past for an order of this size. Pay attention to details! It really matters to your customers and made our party not what we had imagined it to be. To clarify the food was good the issues we had were with prices and execution of...
Read moreWe had a very disappointing experience with Ametis last night. We ordered food for delivery, but when it arrived, one of the sandwiches was wrong—it was a cold sandwich instead of the hot one we had ordered. When we tried to call back from the same number we used to place the order, someone repeatedly picked up and hung up on us—this happened about five times. Strangely, when we called from a different number, they finally answered.
I explained the issue, and the same person who took our order initially placed me on hold. After several minutes, he returned and asked for my phone number, saying the store manager would call us back. I asked if they could simply send out the correct sandwich, and he vaguely responded, “Yeah, I’m sure we can figure something out.” But we never heard from anyone again—no call, no resolution, no follow-up.
Most establishments, even if they can’t resend an item, will at least acknowledge the mistake and offer a credit or some form of apology. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen here. Unless Ametis makes this right, we won’t be able to support a business that treats its...
Read moreI've been ordering pizza and pasta dinners at Ameti's in Pequannock for almost 8 years now. In the past 2-3 years, I think their pizza quality has improved and their sauce is great. We do delivery and pick-up. Delivery tends to be long since they are always busy, especially on weekend nights or during town sports seasons. We've had them deliver to our kid's softball games and we've hosted parties with their pasta dinners and salads. The prices are great. They take the football discount card and Pick Pequannock cards, too. I've been there during the day for a quick lunch and they have good deals. Our guests have always said the pizza is good. It's not thick. Every once in a while, we've had a pie that was overdone or too cheesy, but I think that's bound to happen after 8 years of ordering there almost weekly. Great place! I also think the staff is super...
