The food was definitely spoiled. The chicken had a spoiled smell and taste, the plantain seems burnt and also gone bad( maybe sitting for way too long) Not sure if the rotation of food isn’t happening but the meats were not eatable. The yellow rice and beans were however good. I also had a chicken empanadas which was not great at all, probably the worst I’ve had and very greasy. Other than the food not being great the atmosphere was very clean and pleasant. The service was great, the guy who served me was extremely nice and friendly but a bit on the slower side of taking the order. Prices are AMAZING. they give ALOT of food for the price for sure but the meat, plantains and empanada were not good. Horrible customer service, the few times I have been to this location they are horrible at listening. My husband just went there and asked for BEEF and cheese empanadas and two drinks. I’m not sure where she heard one instead of two because my husband speaks clear Spanish and she gave us one drink. Also, the meat in their empanadas are questionable, we specifically told them beef since we don’t eat pork and when we open the empanadas it was some mysterious meat which definitely was not beef. I tried the chicken with rice and beans (pollo al horns with moro de habichuelas) lunch special for only $6.99, let me tell you the food was delicious. I ate every last bit of chicken off the bone and the rice was not overly salty which is great for those who have to stick away from high sodium intake. The rice was also nice and loose and well cooked. Friendly staff and clean location. Definitely recommend to those who go grocery shopping and want to grab some food to go on the way out. Def...
