Habanero Authentic Mexican Food — Restaurant in Perth Amboy

Food is great and that is the only positive review. They overcharge you not only for the food, but if you dine in and ask for a container to go you are charge $1.00. Then if you use a credit card they charge you $1.50. It even gets better for a plastic bag the charge you 50 cents all of this with out telling you. I notice it, because I took the time to review my receipt and besides all the charges above they charge me $12 for two Jaritos (drinks) which they usually charge $3 each. You can fine great Mexican cuisine somewhere else with out being robbed in this place. All of the above completely ruin my dinner. I will be reporting this restaurant to the City of Perth Amboy as this needs to be looked into, because we don't deserve to spend our money in a business in this city who overcharged...

2x Birria Tacos ($12.99 each) = $25.98 2x Drinks ($2.75, $3.00) = $5.75 Subtotal: $31.73 Container Fee: $8 ($4 each tacos containers, $2 for each sauce containers) and taxes Total: $44.95

Despite adding a $3 tip (out of consideration for the staff), the high prices and subpar food quality left a negative impression. Unfortunately, the birria tacos lacked flavor, and the goat meat was undetectable.

Horrible service and rude hostesses who hang up the phone on patronizing loyal customers. I don't understand how a business like this can be operatable with such disregard for the customer. Never will I divulge a cent towards this schiesty establishment again. Overpriced, I guess youre paying for the experience of disrespect and mediocre food. Very...
