Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Peru

We walked in to order our food and was greeted by the manager yelling at two employees. She yelled at one until one began to cry in front of the store, employees, and customers. She ended up yelling at them telling them to leave and they aren't going to be put on the schedule again, essentially firing them in front of the customers. The manager, which I assume is named Crystal (the girl fired and crying called her that) was incredibly unprofessional. It left the atmosphere of the restaurant incredibly awkward and bothersome. I have not seen such a flagrant display of poor leadership, rudeness, and upright unprofessional in my time in any occupation or activity. Whomever this manager is, I can't imagine they could run any sort of operation well.

We went at 11:00 a.m. and they weren't very busy, but it took a really long time to get our food. I don't usually eat there so I'm not familiar with their menu. I ordered a chicken sandwich and a small drink and it cost me eight and a half dollars. They didn't tell me I could get the combo and it probably would have been cheaper! Also, the bun was way larger than the chicken. It must have been about a quarter of a chicken breast. I took my grandchildren and they were very happy with their food and their free ice cream cone, so I can't complain about that! While I love to visit this Dairy Queen for ice cream, their Brazier foods are not spectacular. If you head inside for your meal, you'll enjoy pleasant service and while the dining room is overheated in summer months, it's otherwise clean and attractive. Still, the food is lackluster and not made with pride - it's just better when you order it at the counter for some reason.

When you get your order at the drive thru, it's usually messy and hard to eat. I don't recommend it. The ice cream is always awesome, though, so dig into that. The people are hit or miss at the window. Again, inside is much nicer. I don't get it, but...
