This is our go to when we are not sure where else to go. I normally get either the tenderloin sandwich or the Wrigley dogs. Both of which are very good. The Wrigley dog is normally cooked by cutting it in half and grilling it which brings out a lot of flavor. I used to get their onion rings, but most of the time they are lacking flavor and could stand to be in the fryer a couple of minutes more to add some crunch. I tried their spanish cheese fries. The spanish sauce was bland in comparison to that found at B&K. The cheese was the just as bland. Bland and bland on fries is pretty much what you can imagine, bland. A bit more cayenne pepper or something is needed to give their spanish sauce some flavor. I tried their patty melt. It was served on white toast and did not have the flavor I expect to find in a good patty melt. Patty melts should be served on something like sourdough or rye. Their ice cream selections all start as a vanilla soft serve, which is either flavored to make it to a chocolate shake or with toppings like chocolate sauce to make it a sundae. The short version of this review is that those things they do good, are very good. Those things that they do as average is bland. Their service is very good. I am normally in and out of there...
Read moreMy daughter came and got our dinner. She ordered me a grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce tomatoes onion and mayo. They gave her a grilled cheese with those toppings. When she called to discuss the mistake with them she was asked if she wanted a replacement sandwich tomorrow. She said no this is our dinner. The grilled chicken that they gave her was super dry and flat. Like chicken jerky. Is that their way of getting even for them getting g our order wrong? Her cheese burger wasn't done and the Bosco sticks were burnt. We used to really like Mr. Weenies I loved their grilled chicken but I suppose all good things must come to an end. We will be dining elsewhere...
Read moreHonestly the price you pay for quality isn't the best. The dogs are made very sloppy, in which doesn't always mean it's a bad thing. But what I'm really disappointed in is their wrigley braut that comes with nothing on it for almost 3 dollars... wasn't asked if I wanted any toppings... it was just a plain braut. I'd like to also add that I love Chicago dogs, but in order for it to be a legit Chicago dog is you need the right colored relish and it also comes with tomato. Key points if you want to mimic the real thing.
On that note I haven't eaten here in years and I finally came around to try it again and I just don't know how I feel...
